It reminds me of Jade but it's not quite right.
Unless it's an unhealthy jade?

Why is it all goofy?

I have a Jade leaf that I'm rooting (from a different source) and it's the leaf is much thicker/dense.
And it's completely smooth while this one has ridges on some leaves.

Is it a difference in variety or is it a light/water/soil/care issue?

I think you are correct - it does look like my dad's very leggy kalanchoe.

at first look I thought it was a jade as well. When I looked at some leafs starting to grown from a joint of branches I agree it's a leggy kalanchoe' I agree with Lynne,,
Maybe change the soil and place out side this summer in dappled shade, Like under a tree. and feed it some nutrients.

I think this is sedum praealtum. I thought mine were jades of a different type for a long time.

The leaves of sedum praealtum are more elongated and flatter than the ones in the picture above. It looks like a totally different plant to me.

The rounded and scalloped edges are characteristic of Kalanchoes.

Yep, again I agree,, and I'd like to see the whole pot,, maybe the pot is too big, and the soil needs changed out, and it hasn't had enough of the right kind of light.

I would probably take some cuttings of the long stems, let the ends dry out, and then repot them, watering sparingly.

You think the pots too big? Does the plant like to be crowded?
I did cut off and reroot a few stems- it's easy to do with this plant. But I didn't pot them all together so I guess I should do that.
It definitely needs new soil. If it ever stops raining here I'll be able to repot it all.
