I really don't want to provide a picture. This is one ugly group. What happened was that I saw a picture of a very full lovely looking grouping of Epi. So I thought I would try it. She said she just snapped off the to long pieces and stuck them back into the pot. Well she much have a talent for it, because when I tried it the result were less than attractive.

Does anyone have an attractive clump of epi and would be willing to tell me how it is done? I'm one of those people I need step by step instructions to do just about anything.

Epis are generally messing looking plants to begin with! They are not the most attractive of plants. But people grow them for their gorgeous, huge blooms, which make the messy, ugly plant worthwhile. So don't worry about it. As babies, they look prettier and neater, but as they grow longer, they tend to get all ratty and straggly looking, but its normal for the plant.
