Is this another fruit tree that I'm going to loose like the cherry tree last year?

These late freezes, how should I handle them?

So the tree had already blossomed? I don't know why the tree would die but if the blossoms got frozen you won't have fruit. I'm sure you know that. The only way I know to protect fruit blossoms from freezing is to cover them or spray them with freeze protectant.

We've had frosts at bloom time..the tree usually survives but you do lose that years fruit if the blossoms drop.

~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.

This isn't frost it'w two inches of snow. I lost the cherry tree when it did this. The root stock is still alive but the tree was deader than a door nail.

The plum surviveded, yea!

It's putting out it's little green leaves.

But as was mentioned earlier in the post I lost the blossoms so no fruit from it this year. Of course that means I should get oodles of them next year.
