Good morning everyone. Saw my doc yesterday. Got a new rx but the insurance doesn't want to cover it without a good reason because it's expensive. Doc and insurance are the same company and it's a co-op so it's not like the docs get anything from the drug companies. It's a really good drug that works well for a lot of people and just about everyone I've talked to that is on this drug has had to go through the same run around to get it approved. What's wrong with simply trusting the doc's judgment? Also increased my sleeping pill to see if it would help me to actually fall asleep. Took it a little late and had an awfully hard time getting up this morning. Oops, now I know. I really want to start this new med and start feeling better.

Shirley, that's great you can outlast your grandson!

The landlord had our roof patched and few years ago and has someone come and regularly clean the gutters for us. The gutters backing up was the main reason it would leak in Joe's room when it rained hard. If we get flooding type rain is seeps through the foundation into the girls room. Thankfully that doesn't happen to often.

Still healing my sprain. This type of sprain takes forever. I have graduated to being able to use the recumbent bike as long as I keep the resistance fairly easy.

Cheryl, it's good to see you here. Sorry about your sprain. It took my ankle sprain forever to heal a few years back. Guess you're really missing your running.

Ditchy, I'm going back to the gym next week. Course I said that last week but I'm planning on next week for sure.

Hey I know what you mean, I took 2 months off this winter, and getting back there last week was a major task. I even drove around the block a few times.
I am still not at the oh , I feel great phase. Will take me about a month to get back in the habit.

It is for me, Carol! Drove to Dad's before the sun rose this morning - left in pitch black at 6:45 and snow coming down pretty good, to see the sun rise over the bridge once again and blue skies on this side.

Good morning all! Trying to actually wake up (I've been up for half an hour lol); we're volunteering at the elderly facility that my mom works at this afternoon, they're having a St Patties Day Potluck this afternoon (we go and help setup and break down their community room every month)

lol Talking to ones self in here is so funny to me because late one night a few years ago, I was in the CH, alone, and finally started carrying on a total conversation back and forth with myself....if I remember right I think I told a little story and/or maybe wrote a poem.
I think someone finally showed up and said something to me, probably laughed at
me. touched lol

I took my kid to school and stopped to shop for a couple of things. I got home and made a bunch of breakfast burritos for the freezer. So my morning was full. And so am I.

Well Happy Birthday! hehe... I'll pass on the cake, I did quite a bit of cheating on my diet last weekend at the beach and I didn't even bring my glucose monitor (talk about per-meditated cheating of ones diet lol).

Good night all. I am heading back to bed. For some reason, My dog got riled up and was barking like a young fool a bit ago. He is 13 and a little deafer than he used to be so the coyotes are not annoying him as much as they used to. I finally got him settled in for the night though so I can go back to sleep. Maybe.

clown Tomorrow is my grandsons birthday. The one I have here every afternoon after school.

breakfast Good morning everyone.

It has been beautiful, sunny weather here, except for a sharp, cold wind which cuts right through you! But I'll take it! Because I love the flowers, and the butterflies, and the birds singing. clap

Good morning !!

I hate technology...My DD puts photos of my grandson on Shutterfly---so last time I went ordered them & then had them sent to Wal-Greens, not a problem. well it seems now unless I say quite quickly that I want them sent to a store, there is no option to go back & change where you want them sent----so instead of taking advantage of a good sale, I had to empty my cart & now have to start over--which will cost me several dollars--- zoink

I guess TGIF, huh ???

I am sorry, Carol. Every business is about making money, some are just greedier than others. And some difficult to work with.
I am having a decent day. A busy one but not bad for having been up in the night. I will take off for school a little early and see if I can get a bit of Ted's special olympics activities in. Then we are off for two whole weeks. I am hoping for some garden time in there.

what an exceptionally long week this was,, and weird vibe all week eeeuuk,, At the end of each work day I was wiped out,, a lot of people was feeling the exhaustion and weirdness at work, and no I don't think it has anything to do with the time change, just an unexplained phenomenon why I bet I go to sleep early tonight, it's only 7 pm and I'm forcing my self to stay awake.

And I would love to see more rain. We are going to have a really bad drought year if our rainy season has truly ended. They are calling for a possible trace of rain midweek.
I had a big batch of oatmeal with cinnamon and blueberries. That may keep me for quite a bit of the day.

Good afternoon!

Awhile ago I read a post inPlant, Pests and Problems....I think the new thread was Diagnose this Problem. Anyway, it is a new member and their first post. It was on the 14th and no reply....maybe no one has seen it yet, but I would hate for them to get discouraged about this site.
Here is what it says:

I purchased a houseplant recently from my local supermarket. It came in a crock with a cactus and a hard shell covering the top with instructions on how to bottom water it. Today I noticed the leaves on the plant seem to be diseased. I'm wondering if someone can diagnose the disease and recommend how to treat it. Thanks in advance. I am new to this website and forum.

Could anyone go look at the picture of the leaf and see if they could help?
I can't tell what it is. why

Thanks if anyone can help them. nooo

I haven't a clue as to the problem with that plant. I do feel I should have at least greeted though. I have been lax.
