Hello fellow gardeners. Looking forward to reading about gardening tips.
Planted cabbage and onions on Saturday. potato's and peas will be going in this coming weekend. We've had a wet winter, but mild, so our early start should be good.
Would like to know what type of onions are best for long term storage. We just planted Texas Sweet, but I can plant more.

Welcome, Janet. Mother Earth News recommends these for long term storage, White Sweet Spanish, Downing Yellow Globe and Southport Red Globe.
Living in SoCal I have difficulties with my temps and any long term storage. Good luck.

The more pungent an onion the better for storage. White onions are not the best for storage. The most important thing when storing is to make sure the onions are perfect - no soft or bruised areas.

Welcome.
