Are these dwarf hampsters???

If yes, dads' can stay..
*they actually take care of the wee~one's too*

And it's the (adult) females that can't get along...

And the only time you can keep multiples of dwarf
hampster's together is when they are litter mates
(*brother/sister's)

You can't take two from opposite litter's,
unless for mating and you are d@rned sure they are male and female...

And yes, I have a ba~zillion of them,
CAUSE I WAS NEVER D@RNED SURE WHICH WAS WHICH...

I am about to take up a collection for $$$ for hampster
cages... eheheehehe...

Try not to handle the babies too much, when they are little like that though.. *mamma's some times will eat them if handled too early..*

But they'll be almost totally full grown with in 4 weeks..
*and ready to have more even by 4~6~8 weeks old*

Yeah, they usually say, leave them alone for at least
2 weeks, and then, depending the parents, *if they've
had litter's before, and you knowt their dispositions*
you can poke your hand in there and let them smell you..
***and the babies first reaction to you is a defensive one at first,
they'll paw both front paws at you, maybe almost nip, and run***

(((but have you peaked around the entire cage,
mine will move upstairs or over to another corner or something..)))

All of my mom's/dad's are great.. gently and fun..
and really trust me, they're so sweet..
but I still respect them in their parenting..

And a good way to get them to learn to trust you is to
put "their food" in your hand and let them come into your
hand to eat/feed.. (hold your hand real still and
let them just eat for a minute or two)

What kind are they by the way..

I learned that about baby bunnies and NOT removing
daddies from the cages when I was about 11/12 or so..
So, I know how she is or will feel....
It's a tough lesson to learn..

I had one of those hamster balls. my guy loved it. I lived in a 2nd floor apartment. He'd go to the staircase and,,, badoomp, badoomp, badoomp...down to the bottom. Nutsy! My cats were a bit timid of the ball. I dont think they understood it.

Yeah, the feed mill 3 blocks over has a couple
of them...
They are very cute, but I need cages..

As for the two in question though..
You got a boy and girl, and they will try again..
*AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN!!*
Keep a watchful eye on them..
if they start chewing up things, like for a nest..
you know they're preparing for babies...

I have to go to the pet store Monday and bring
them 2 different loads of 4...*8 total*
