Any suggestions on how to harvest buttercrips lettuce? I googled how to do it but there are so many different ways.

Thanks!

if its a loose leaf lettuce then I just harvest the leaves as needed. If it is a head lettuce then I harvest the entire head. Did I understand your question?

I have butter crunch lettuce growing in my little greenhouse right now. Once you eat it you'll never go back to store bought.

I do like it and you are right---but as I live where it likes to get cold, I will have to wait until spring to eat some....

Junie, my brother in law, who lived in Indiana, put some raised beds under plastic and the lettuce, kale, and spinach lived through the cold and snow last year. They ate it all winter long.

There are several tips and a helpful guide on how to harvest lettuce so it keeps growing. Step 1: Sanitize and prepare your pair of scissors. Step 2: Choose the perfect time for harvest. Step 3: Cut your lettuce. Step 4: Water your lettuce.
