When our daughter passed away I was sent an arrangement of things. I would like to describe them to you to see if you can help me figure out what they are.

1) a long pointed leaf like plant the outside edges are a light green while the middle is a dark green.

2) a leaf like plant that that has a whitish center and the outsides are green.

3) a leaf like plant that is totally green and from time to time it will have a stalk come up with a white cup and a little long seed looking thing inside.

4) a leaf like plant the outside is green and then it gets like a darker green and then the middle is a litter green with like purple lines through it on both sides.

I can send a picture via personal email if need be to anyone who can help!

#3 sounds like a Spathiphyllum (Peace lily)

#4 possibly a prayer plant? Does it close up at night?

If you have a Photobucket account you can post the pictures right here so we identify them.

I am sorry for your loss.
#1 could be a mother-in-law tongue, maybe. It would be better with photos.
And I would balance these plants with a pothos so maybe that is #2. Look up these plants we have named and see if they resemble yours.
