hi everyone! flwr

I guess I started my okra too early. I wont have room for them outside till June, and they are starting to form flower buds under the flourescents indoors!!! nervous

Should I snip them off?? The plants are about 6" tall now.

Thanks!! angel

When I don't get a chance or it's too early to
put my starts out, I just keep repotting up into
bigger sized pots/containers...
That way, even though they're not outside growing
and putting on new roots out there..
I know they're putting on new roots in the containers..
Then when I am able to plant, they're pretty much
right up to speed in the rooting department..

Your choice on the snipping of the flowers....
but I suppose it can't hurt to snip the first few,
but I'd repot in the process too...

Keep us posted..
I love those flowers on the okra, they're sooo pretty!!!

Hmmm...these buds are so tiny, Id probably top off the plants in the process of trying to get them off. Could that be a good thing? Maybe that would make for bushier plants?

Im not too worried. I had great success growing them for the first time last year. The area they are going currently have pea plants that are only 6" tall, so they must wait!

Here's a flower from last year.
