Unfortunately, Lantana are tender perennials and are only hardy in zones 10-11. Its a beautiful plant though!

I live in between zone 8-9 depending on the maps you are looking at. I have never lost lantanas even uncovered. I have had some frost damage on rare years. I love lantana because it blooms all year long. More heavily at some points than others. It is widely used here.

Diane - I had for some reason put a pot of lantana in my garage last year, where it sat all cold winter. Granted, we had a mild winter with not much measurable snow, but that plant came back so full and beautiful this year I was astonished! Can you dig it up and put it in a pot indoors somewhere? It won't grow indoors but it did manage to stay alive somehow in my garage.
