I would like to know if anyone knows how long it takes for a sweet potatoe to root in water ? thanks in advance.

as to the length of time, patience is needed. It may take awhile. BUT I will say, my grandmother always added african violet food (I imagine any houseplant food additive would work) to the water--it seemed to help speed up the process.To be safe add it at half strength.
