I grew this plant from seed this year for my hummingbirds but it never flowered. It is quite lush and healthy but very dissapointed it has not bloomed. Can anyone tell me why?

Welcome, ddj. As it is a short lived perennial, it may bloom for you next year. I cannot really grow them here with warm winters and too long, hot summers. You are lucky.

..and they don't over winter here because of the cold lol

Thanks for the info. Will nurse it thru the winter and hopefully see some blossoms next year.
