Good morning. Happy Friday. It should be a fairly busy one for me. And maybe a busy weekend too.

Been in the chair all day. My family reunion is tomorrow and I hope to be able to show up even if it's just for a few minutes.

have someone pick you up, (so you do not have to drive) take a reclining lawn chair & then rest at the reunion--you can sit in a chair at teh reunion just as well as at home after all-- teach

We had 1.1 inches of rain this evening---the way I figure it, we are only down 1/10 of an inch in rainfal for the year-- clap thumbup

Good morning. Happy Saturday. Today I'm going to visit a camping timeshare I own to get my ID card updated. So we will be walking around the lakes and such to enjoy the beginning of the fall seasons. And lunch out with my boys. That should be fun. And then home in time for a nap.

Hmmm. I don't burn many papers unless I need some to start my wood burner. They get shredded then composted. Worms love junk mail. This all helps keep my soil warm in the cooler winters.
I am slowly getting ready to go. My appointment is at noon so I have plenty of time. Just don't want to begin a new project and get grubby before leaving time.

Valarie called us & set up us going to go out to eat for tonight so we didnt go burn papers---and bad news ??
her DH & she bought a house down by his parents--good news?? they will not be moving until next summer, as she is teaching school this year around here.

and oh--my youngest daughter's childhood cat died this afternoon. We stopped by with his "casket & shroud"--read cardboard box & angora pillow cover-- picked him up & will start an animal cemetary out at my dad's property tomorrow.

g'nite everyone sleep well. snooz

PS: Brian's parent's live a 3 hrs drive from us--and it is interstate driving, so I cant do it--although I think I can get most of the way down there o n Rt 4 (a 2 lane)---I have to investigate this further...

Good morning. Sunday is bedding in the wash day. And generally getting ready for a new school week. I will put the basics of dinner into the crock pot for an easy evening.
Teddy wasn't feeling very well yesterday. So we will see how he is when he wakes this morning.

Sorry to hear about the kitty. tears

Today is "sit in the chair" day here...lol
...somebody's gotta hold that chair down to keep it from flying away, might as well be me. I am still so sore from the lawnmower 'mishap'.

Here's a pic of Spartacus and Abacat I took last night...
Abby is getting HUGE!!!!!

Thanks so much--"Tigger" was a bit short of being 16 years & 6 months. He was born March 31, 1996.
WE bured him this morning at my dad's property. At least that piece of land should stay in the family for a good number of years..

Spartacus and Abacat are looking good!!! Great picture !! I bet they are thrilled to have one another for company !!!

Today it is fix up things & rest---I wish everyone a good day !!!

I love that picture. They do look like siblings.
I have buried 3 cats over 16 years old in the last five years or so. I am still not ready for a new cat. When one finds me and adopts us, I am sure that will change. And I sure do miss their hunting abilities. My dog is a lovely puppy-like 12+ years old. We will all be lost when he leaves us.
Bedding is in the machines and I have settled on what exactly I want to fix for dinner. So we are rolling right along here.

You did good, Cindy.
I think I broke out into a sweat just reading about your oven being on. It is pushing 90 outside and our humidity is up a bit more than our norm.
Put taters, onions and peppers into the crock pot. I had planned on adding broccoli but by the time I added a cheese sauce, the broccoli didn't sound good any more. So broc on the side tonight. I am getting ready to pop my boy into his bath.

Only reason I baked taters today was because it was only in the upper 70's here today. I've been waiting on a cool day to have some baked taters!!! Weird, wacky weather these days....usually hotter than hell here right now.

I am ready for the new school week. I have cookie donations for Ted's class already in the van and his permission slip all filled out. Ted is not feeling his best so I will see in the morning if he is going. But if he is better, he will go. I am glad he is not cranky and whiny when he is sick.
I am tired and ready to sleep. But it is still a bit early to put my boy to bed.

Sorry you can't sleep....but I know your pain. I am the resident insomniac here...maybe you can relieve of of that title, Chrisy. I would be happy to pass it off to someone else.

I was sleeping fine til these cats started running across me doing their "cat things"...so I got up and gave them some scallops hoping they will sleep now. .........now that I am up...... boohoo

Yes, Ted has mild allergies. And it could be what is ailing him off and on lately.
I am up and ready for the day. I hope all have a good one.

So sorry about the allergies, Tina---I think a lot of people are bothered by them now-a-days. The crazy weather flop/flops do not help it one bit.

Thanks on the sympathies about Tigger guys. he was a sweetheart.

When I am done with my coffee, I am off to do some shopping--fun shopping this will be...and I can't remember when I have done that last....

Take a nap, Cindy. I took Ted to school and then stopped to do my usual shopping stuff. We needed the milk and fresh stuff again. Before I go pick him up, I will be doing a bit of fun shopping also. Getting ready for Halloween with a friend and her 4 grand kids.

OHhh Halloween is a fav around our houses.. Carrie's fav holiday for sure... since she came home from the hospital as a baby on Halloween! in a pumpkin colored blanket- that for the life of me I lost somewhere... darn it!

I am watching Carrie's niece at her house today , she is 2 and a doll... calls me Nanasherri..
she is napping now ... such and easy baby... especially for a 2 yr old...

I am going to roast a turkey tomorrow to make up some freezer meals for this winter- it is hot today but supposed to drop a lot tomorrow.. Joe can't wait till I make enchiladas for him... he has been wanting them forever but been way to hot to cook that turkey this summer..hitting 91* again today...

I think I have all the stuff I need for my trip, Carrie gave me a digital camera and the charger for it.. takes 2000 pics on it's card so it may be enough..LOL , Timothy told me to take pics of everything.. he wants me to pack him in a suitcase.. going to start getting my stuff together to pack up too and get my tote ready, that and my laptop will be my carryons... getting so excited... haven't decided if I should get my flu shot before I go, think I will though just in case there is somebody on the plan that has it- don't want to be sick!

Well off to finish up my book and see if I can do anything else around here ... did dishes and ran the dishwasher and cleaned the microwave... could do the boys room but would wake the baby and can't have that... LOL!
Nana

Nana, enjoy that vacation...you need some time to yourself.

There are a lot of colds and flu's going around..although I think most really allergies. Mind you the hot one day and freezing the next doesn't help it either.

Having trouble with my push mower..I hope it's just a spark plug issue. I need to mow the grass tomorrow and have no plans on buying a new mower this year. I dug at it for an hour...and am stumped.

I am so happy you are getting red peppers, Sunny. The long hot summer was not totally wasted.
I could not nap. It was just a little too warm. So I went in and rotated my food storage and bagged up a bunch to share. My pantry and cabinets were so stuffed that I couldn't have put one more can or package of pasta in there. Much better now and I know just the family to get the rest of it. So life is good right now.

I am sorry you are still fighting your medical coverage, Cindy. I hope it works out in your favor soon.
Good night all. It finally got late enough on the clock for me to be able to get my kid in bed so I can sleep.

Good morning...the sun is shining and another dry day for us.

Hoping all works out soon Cindy.

Another day of Fall prep here....the leaves are starting to change colors.

Good morning. I see small signs of fall here too. Shorter days for one. I feel the need to go outside and really do my autumn clean up stuff. My older son has done most of the drudge work but there is still much for me to do personally. I am just still mostly sticking close to the house waiting for a few things to happen, and the phone calls involved with them.

After 48 days without any precipitation, we finally got some rain on Monday, but only about 1/4". The soil is already dry. kilroy
Nights have the feel of fall... night temperatures have been down in the mid 40s lately. fidget
