We haven't decided what to name him yet, he really doesn't have a name that he recognizes.
Tre wants to name him Jock, I want to name him Scout, or Grits why The previous owners have him down as O'jac on paper work but they don't call him that,, they just say come here and he comes,, rolz
This 10 month old schnauzer is/was going to be put down simply because he grew bigger than the owner wanted him to be tears the owner believed it was going to be very small because it's a miniature schnauzer touched . Obviously they didn't do their research on this breed of dog.
We will be getting him Next weekend.
It will be interesting what Emmy thinks, she is so spoiled I'm sure she will be jealous at first but she needs a companion to keep her company while we are at school and work during the day. thumbup

Diane - he is very handsome! I love his coloring, and he looks very sweet in that picture. I hope Emmy will do well with him.

When I hear the name "Scout", I think of the girl in "To Kill a Mockingbird", so it sounds feminine to me. Jock doesn't really do it for me either. Do the other boys have suggestions?

YOu will let us know what name you all do choose, right???

Very VERY disappointed family here,, The Mr of the family with the dog gave it to a co worker with out talking with his wife first,, Evidently she didn't tell him WE were already going to get him this weekend,, But at least the dog will be in a home where he is wanted regardless of his size, so that is good,, I told the boys after the first of the year we will go out and look at rescue puppies and pick our own to come home right then and there with us.

OH My Diane, I am so very sorry to hear this. But things happen ans that too can be a lesson for the boys. I am so glad that you turned it around to a positive though and gave them something to look forward to. You are a good Grandma.

Thanks Carol,, I try to always show them a positive from a negative,, makes the disappointments in their life a lot easier to handle thumbup Another thing is I never promise them anything I'm incapable of following thru with. Shows them giving your word is a part of developing integrity and trustworthiness.

Very good idea....I can remember going to the SPCA when I was a kid to rescue a dog...it is very hard to choose one when you get there, because you want to take them ALL home...but it is a very good learning experience.
