Haven't opened one in a while.

Coffee is on and there are chocolate macaroons for those with a sweet tooth grin

Raining here but I am so enjoying the cooler weather.

I love Tuesdays for you, Carol. Enjoy your ceramics.
Good morning. My usual driving today and housework is on my list. Things are improving in here.

I may need housekeepers anonymous if I keep up the way I am. Meanwhile, I am happy with today's progress. I have so many projects, general mending, re-stuffing a sleeping bag and repairing it, an afghan 2/3 finished, etc. These have been stacked in the master bedroom awaiting my attention. Now they are clear bagged and and neatly stacked in my master closet. Still waiting but not such an eyesore. And my son outgrew some of that mending so I can toss it. This is my least favorite chore; mending.
I also have a couple large bags full of clothing to donate. I love my community center for giving it away for free without making clients jump through hoops.
I am taking a break to snack and drink some more coffee before diving back in. I also need to make a phone call.

OR if you feel that bad you could explain to Breyton how you feel & make it up to him in a few days--I am sure he would understand

Hope you are feeling better today Diane..Happy Birthdays going out to your family kissie

Your wish worked, best sleep I had last night in weeks. I was also tired from finishing up painting the shed. Another big chore completed..just the two doors left to do(when I get the qt of paint).

Off to hang out a load of laundry...lots of chores to catch up on since our weather is cold today. Nice to see the 50-some degrees back after the 100's we had a few days ago.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning. I didn't bother setting the alarm last night.
Ted came home with a nasty cold from school yesterday. I do think he had it before school but it is hard to tell when kids have mild allergies too. Today I have his cold as well. We will survive. And I can do house stuff without those 2 hour breaks to drive him. So we will survive it.

Ted is much better today. He will probably go back to school tomorrow unless he gets worse in the night. I am really doing OK with this cold as well. So it seems like a small one.
I spent the morning cleaning again. I have filled half a dumpster with stuff just in the last 2 days. I am almost finished with my complete house with the exception of my master closet and my daughter needs to work on her room. It is time to start all over again. I can remove the next layer. Maybe peel everything out of my kitchen cabinets and reline them. I have just not found shelf paper that I like. There is a neverending job in housekeeping.

Wow My landlord is on top of her game,, they are here to fix the line already,, WOW,, Don't know how intense the work will be but at least it's being addressed now,
BTW (the landlord is usually slow moving on getting things fixed,, guess she didn't want me handing her the water bill LOL)
Glad you two are feeling better Tina I will go to work tomorrow regardless how I feel.

Good morning all. Hoping everyone feels better..my sinus's had been bothering me also. Crazy weather doesn't help. Sinus meds are the way to go...and hot toddy's for Cindy thumbup

Glad the water is fixed Diane.

Tina..they usually carry lots of shelf paper at the dollar stores. I got some nice stuff that was thick like wall paper to line the drawers in the dresser I fixed up for the grandbaby. Hope you find what you like.

Grandbaby is here early, DD had a long dentist appointment today..and baby won't stay with anyone else. Have I ever spoiled her..

Showers on and off for today...oh well, I need the rest. My hips are aching. Not even 40 yet and I'm like a rusted up old wheel. Damn psoriatic arthritis.

I am so sorry, Cindy. Ted's and my colds have gone way back to very liveable. I am grateful.
His lunch is packed and the second half of his breakfast is in the car to eat on the way. He is all cleaned up and spiffy in clean clothes. I think we are ready. Just killing time so we don't get there too early.

Good morning--I feel icky too--I think mine is allergies. I cannot take anything to speak of for it---so I hope whatever it is clears up soon so I can go to see Luke be born,-- whenever that happens to be.

Diane, glad that you got your water line fixed so quickly.

Tina glad that you and teddy are feeling better. I hope you feel better soon too, Cindy. Colds are the worst, I think.

Sunny, rest up my dear---there will be other less painful days that you can work on.

We no longer feel icky. It must have been allergies around here.
I got bunches of stuff done today. Now that I've gotten started, I can't quit. But that is a very good thing. So I am not complaining.

Keep her in the helping mode, Sunny.
Good morning. I was up a little before my alarm today. I need to clean up some shrubbery also. At least enough for the propane delivery guy to reach my tank without trampling things. I am looking forward to the long weekend. I will probably do more cleaning. I am addicted.

That is sweet, Sunny.
I got Ted to school, shopped for the holiday weekend needs and put that away. I trimmed my shrubs for easy propane access. Now I am puttering and cleaning this and that around here. Good stuff and a relaxing day.

haha Well, I guess there are worse things to be addicted to, right???
besides, maybe she thought the grass needed cleaned up, ya never know----

it is raining for the third time today. The first time was minor, the second time was between 3/10 and an inch, I dont really know because it was so windy the rain did not get into the gauge properly...(although DH says it is still accurate.. why why
Rod went out and cleaned out the gutters somewhat after supper so at least that is done---he said there was just the one place that needed cleaned, so we will hope it is all ok now. But from what the weather people say, the rain will come and go all weekend, so if he needs to check other things, there will be various times to recheck anything that comes up.

ya all keep dry ! thumbup

It's supposed to be raining here all weekend from that hurricane...Rachel and Jeremy and Brennan were coming down but changed their plans now because they were bringing a truck load of furniture that Jeremy made to Chris (his son) so they can't bring it in the rain. Probably a good thing since I am sick as a dog and so are Rachel and Brennan. We don't need to be swapping snot and kisses right now.

No, swapping would not be good right now. I guess Ted and I did not have colds. It must have been allergies. It still comes and goes though.
Right now I don't have a working hot water heater. But I have showers to use at the resort next door and they are very close, a 20 second walk. I'm hoping to snag a friend to help with the water thing. I just hate to call anyone on a long weekend. That is the only thing I really need hot water for. Everything else, I can heat water on my stove top.

Ours is from the hurricane too---funny how the bad weather can make itself all the way up here--
but then we are down just under 6 inches of rain, so we could use all the "wet" we can get.

Yep Cindy, i f most o f you are sick, I can understand you not wanting to be around each other---there is always next time...

I am going to go to sleep, soon everyone--sweet dreams--

Good morning. I had to toss on a sweatshirt this morning. Brrr, but it will be back into the 90's again during the day. Today will be laundry and general cleaning here for me. I may take my cooktop apart for a deep clean too. So much dirt, so little time....

OH lucky you, Tina---I used to be able to lift teh top of my stove up, so as to clean underneath it.--removes the burners & pop them into the dishwasher, AND remove teh oven door--now-a-days this "new" stove is teh pits---I can just remove the flat tops of the burners (a small round disc) and the grates--nothing else---and I have no idea how to take apart the glass part of the door--it is so dirty I am ashamed--and all I can do it wipe teh outside & the side that is in the oven--between teh glass layers is waht is dirty---I want my old stove back.

It was a Magic Chef, and a great stove is was.

Much rain here friends---but right now all is quiet---they say that is how it will be--rain off & on all weekend--Monday included. I did not invite the kids over---I thought let them invite me for once--well no one called

My grandmother had an ancient range, not sure what brand. She had it for 40 years or so and needed to call a service man to come help with some problem or other on it. The service man said it was the cleanest stove/oven he had ever seen and never charged her for the service performed. I always swore mine would be as clean.
Newer ones are the pits. Often more complicated, more cheaply made and meant to be replaced every ten years or something. If some inner parts even see water 3 feet away, they begin to rust. I hate mine. The only thing I can do is keep it clean if not beautiful. And cover as much as I can, safely, under there with foil for the next time.
My stove top would be a lot cleaner if I was the only one cooking on it. Or serving from it. The guts are all soaking in hot water now.

good morning,, this is going to be the laziest weekend ever grin Last night on the way home from work I stopped and did my grocery shopping for the week, kept laundry up thru out the week, dusted and vacuumed last night, bed linens in the dryer now.Only reason to get out of the house is to go pay rent in a few minutes, then I'm in for the 3 days. We have a lot of homework to get done, then movies to watch, I may make some brownies for the boys tomorrow.
It's supposed to get back in the triple digits for the next week because of the hurricane,so any baking will be done in the am this weekend.

Tina, That is a nice commentary on your grandmother---

My stove at teh farm was not perfectly clean, as I was always busy with the girls--but it was close---This one here, looks ok on the outside but if you look real close... egad Thank goodness the inside is self cleaning.

This stove top is ugly. It was ugly when I moved in. It is still ugly. But it is pretty clean. My stove top is built into the counter. The oven is on a different wall and an eye level thing. It is clean but I hate it. It does not bake evenly.
Things are moving along on my fall cleaning.
