For my moms upcoming 60th Birthday Party I've re-written the song 16 candles for her. Let me know what you think.

I don't know the song but this is a cute idea...

The original son gI believe was by Crests, back in 1953. they made a movie out of it at some point.

Not very well, we were going to get one of my moms friends whos a singer to do it but she won't have time to learn it, so I may have to woth my brother and sister. I hope we won't botch it completely.

How did the party go? Did you sing also Shani?

The party was great. My mom was so surprised. We had friends there that she hadn't seen in ages. We had her mom her best friends and her boyfriend all give short speeches, then we sang, my sister and I did most of it, and my brother broken in to do the back up parts. We may not have been on key, tempo or even matched each other but we got applause after. Right after our song we brought out the cake with 60 candles on it, I'm told it was getting very hot. Mom did manage to blow it out with a single breath though. The cake was rather holey when all the candle came off.

As it was a surprise party we gave my mom the story that it was her brother's surprise party, (his birthdays only 8 days later). So she brought a present and the cake for him. We served it up too.

That was great ,..........A good mama suprise for sure..

In all the confusion making sure the decorations and food made it, I forgot to bring my camera. I've asked some of the guests to email me their photos so when I get some I'll put them up.
