I knew it was a conspiracy.

So many things I need to do today...wish it would rain so I could stay in the chair. (oops...forgot about all those inside things that need done....)

Good evening all, tired out but caught up on most of the outdoor work. It's nice to have a breezy day to keep the flies away.

I've done nothing again today. Doctor gave me pain meds Monday but I've only taken 2 of them since then....I know too many people who are addicted to them and I'm feeling kinda weird about taking them.

You do not need an addiction, Cindy.
I only got my kid to and from school with shopping between. And food today was cleaning all the leftovers out of my fridge along with fresh veggies. I love eating this time of year. Lots of reasonable fruits and vegetables. I napped this afternoon.

Yep...I love getting fresh stuff from friends and family. Had cooked cabbage, fried green maters, green onions yesterday...all fresh from the neighbor's garden.

Gonna be hot here today---89*F or so I hear---really I should be out cutting the grass around the last 6 ft of my edging.

if I did that, tonight I could get to clearing out the weeds in the 2nd dog pen---I just may go do that. This early it is pretty nice out yet.

wish I were the type to go back to sleep---tired already...

Good morning. I could easily go back to sleep. But I won't until I nap later.
Today is probably our last 'cool' day. Looks like summer will really arrive over the weekend. We will top 100 next week and hang there during the day. But as long as the humidity stays low, I am good with that.

I didnt go back to sleep either--instead I went out & finished trimming the edging of my rocked area in the back--- 2 hours later I am back----I spent 90 minutes finishing the trimming there & then the other 30 I spent weeding my garden, trimming around the trees in the back (DH is going to cut grass tonight) and then I found a clover that had yellow flowers growing by my tomatoes, so I transplanted some into one of my extra pots. shewinks

Now a bit of a rest & then I will pay bills before the mail man comes..
The rest of today will be spent hand scrubbing my kitchen floor- rolz I really wish I had a maid.. fidget

I am glad it is Friday. I guess I brought a sick kid home from school. Can I return him for a well one?
We will deal. Ted is so seldom sick that I cannot really complain. But if he is still sick on Sunday, I will gripe.

I guess Ted's illness was a one shot deal. He has seemed fine the rest of the night and everything else has stayed down. I have mopped my kitchen floor. I am glad it needed it anyway before Teddy added his two bits to the deal. And I do laundry mostly on weekends anyway. So if he had to get sick, he picked the best time. We both felt better after showers. It is time to sleep very soon.

Glad Teddy is feeling better...the baby is a bit better also. You can't buy cold medicine for kids anymore but the pharmacist recommended a homeopathic tonic thing. We are trying that...nothing worse than a congested baby.

Baby shower to attend today...I love going to those grin

Glad Teddy is feeling better, Tina---Sunny I hope your little one is better soon as well. Sorry you cant get cold meds, but she is small anyway so perhaps it is best that you cant.
Yes Nana I guess the only maid I will ever have is the one sitting in this chair.. lol

The floors are ok, but I didnt give them proper justice---so they will have to be done again--(at least in my mind)

Yes Showers are a good thing in general---enjoy !!!

I am going yard sale-ing today--that sounds like fun to me---after that I will go to the grocery store & then begin prep for tomorrow & the kids coming.

Morning.
Been up for a while- guys are finishing fence, we timed it just right the cubscounts are having a dumpster roundup at the school parking lot so we got rid of old fence panels for $35.. , guys used the saw and cut them in half so they fit in the truckbed.. was 35 for a truckload... one less thing in my yard to get rid of...YAY ! They will finish up the fence today- had to stop yesterday cause we had about 45 minute thunderstorm complete with hail.. big hail for a short time and hard rain... they had just enough warning to get the saws and tools in side before it hit... so they relaxed and after awhile bbq'd some steak and we had dinner...

Today is laundry day here too Tina, wish I could hang it out but the clothesline broke again- guess we will have to buy a new one- sure wish I could find this kind somewhere but no one seems to sell them so will have to go with what I can get... guys borrowed one of my pin bags I had made too , to hold the screws for the fencing.. they ripped it- was old but now will have to make a new one...LOL! thing I will use some old denim from boys cut off jeans... be a little stronger I think.

Well off to get the stuff started.. need to do some floor sweeping and vacumming too.. always something...

OH Yes almost forgot our Joseph got his driving permit yesterday.... and a checking acct all his own.... saving for a car.... when I first got on line and started chatting... he was 3!now he is 18! Time flies!

Kids sure do grow. My grandmother was very short, about 5' 1". My grandfather made her a clothesline that she could raise and lower with a crank. Hung the clothes when it was low then raised it to keep them off the ground. I Cannot remember if it had cranks on both T-posts. My grandfather also made upholstered furniture with her short legs in mind.
I would love to have a handy man around here like that. My older son tries and I am happy with his progress. But he lacks some skills I would like him to have. I show him much of what I can but I no longer have the strength and hands to do what I used to do.
Got a lot of cleaning organizing completed. Going to go back and do some more.

Yep---it sure shows how your grandfather felt about your Grandmother---that goes a body good to hear.

I just finished making the deviled Eggs for tomorrow--and before them the 2 desserts. Now since I put too many eggs shells down my disposal it does not wish to drain....My Dh is not going to be happy tomorrow. Happy Father's Day to him, HUH ???

Going to sleep now---will get cleaned up in the AM

Nite nite snooz

I am so sorry you are not feeling well today, Sunny. I hope it eases off as the day goes along.
Happy Father's Day to all.
We will have a pretty normal day here today. Getting ready for the school week. I have been getting some basics done around the house. Basics that have been neglected.

Happy Father's Day All,

I am getting ready to put the ribs in my roaster oven soon, get them cookin for whoever shows up today.. but mostly for my hubby and our friend Alan who is helping Joe do the fence.. they got stopped yesterday again by a t-storm they came thru and left fairly quickly but they were done for day so gave them dinner and now they will finish today- will be nice to have it back up...

I got half my house done yesterday too.. cleaned .. going to do other half while guys are outside working and ribs are cooking.. supposed to be hot today so want to get it done before bedrooms heat up to much- cooler was on all night so hopefully it will not get to terribly hot in here today...

Well off to get busy or it won't get done...

You make ribs sound good too, Nana.
I had to work on my cooler today. But it is cooling. My kid is bathed and ready for another week of school. Clean bedding all around. Life is good.

Glad it was a nice day for everyone.

I had a small supper here but it was nice. DH liked his gifts.

I'm still not feeling the best but it is manageable...I need to get my meds re-adjusted I think. I gained weight and I don't think they are strong enough now. Thanks for the kind words Tina.

Laundry and mopping day here.

Good morning. My day will consist of driving a couple of my kids to school and appointments. I have some phone calls to make as well. The rest will be puttering around here.
It is supposed to warm up this week again. Just in time for summer. I am so not looking forward to summer.

Mornign all,
Slept in today.. late start but nothing much to get done so it's no big deal... fence is done... now we can take the leftovers back to store and get enough back to pay for new clothesline..YAY! he is going to have to dig out old cement and redo the base for it cause the poles are different sized of coursr.. but I will be able to hang out clothes again.. hate running dryer unless I have to...

Ribs came out really good... not a one was left over , had just enough for everyone too so that was good... have enough of the other food left over to eat today so I don't have to cook today.. thats a plus too!

Will have boys in a few so need to get the kitchen floor swept up and maybe mopped.. never ending battle with the rocks from yard that come in daily... the sand box is really tiny gravel not sand but I guess sand would be worse to keep out...

We are keeping our fingers crossed today for our friend Alan to get the job he is applying for.. he has a bout with bad health and lost everything just about so getting re started is hard but someone told him a dealership close by is hiring so hoping he gets it so he can get started again .. wish we could do more to help him but hiring him to help around here is about all we can do... will do that more as we can afford to get stuff done around the yard...

Well off to get moving on my day... have a good day all!
Nana

Jobs can be mighty scarce. Our local unemployment rate is sitting at 11.9%. That is really awful. I have adult children looking for work. I hire them to help me too.

Well...I thought I got the worst part of my day over this morning.
When I got home I had to vacuum up several messes that Lola had made yesterday. I got my hair caught in the vacuum cleaner again and it hurt so bad I cried. My hair is really long now...longer than it has been since 1993 before I got it burned off when the stove in my old sign shop exploded (I didn't know you you weren't supposed to pour gasoline on smoldering coals back then...).,,anyway the explosion broke all the windows out of my shop and melted my hair, burned my face, etc. But, finally my hair is about down to my waist again and it got caught in the vacuum roller thingy when I was bending down to move some peanuts out of the way. I was going to get Rachel to cut it when she was here awhile back but I totally forgot to ask her. rolz

I am sorry, Cindy. Ever thought of tying it back? I could not wear my hair in a ponytail for very much time when it was long. I got headaches. But I learned it was best when using gas hedge shears. notme
Not the way you want to cut your hair.
I am wondering where Carol is? I worry when she doesn't peek in.

Good morning.
I was glad to see you, Carol. It is just unusual not to see you so I begin to over think things.
And Sunny, there is already a complete "Book of Cindy" buried in amongst these pages.
Summer is not supposed to begin until tomorrow. But we have had such wonderful weather that I am afraid to complain.

It has been hot here as well...supposed to reach 30*C today, can't find my conversion chart.

Just got done cleaning my recliners, they are drying on the back step...you just know a bird is going to fly over them and drop a present.
