I have a new idea for planters and am wondering if sweet peas can grow from the top of a fence down, instead of up from the ground. We put in a new cedar fence this year and I have some planters that will hang from the top and am wondering what plants I have in my greenhouse to put out. I was thinking sweet peas but am not sure.??????

I am thinking they may work well hanging from your planters. It cannot hurt to try them.
Welcome Nicole and have fun.

Any vining plant can grow downward (in a hanging pot) as well as upward (from the ground) so go ahead and do it.

What a cool idea!! I'll have to keep that in mind. My peas are already in the ground and growing up....but I can certainly see the possibilities flwr
