Hey everyone,
I'm new on here, and am glad to be part of the community. I live in Laurel, MD, between DC and Baltimore. I'm 34, single, work as a mental health counselor, and love to connect with the spiritual aspects of nature (One of my favorite books is Celestine Prophesy, a book about the untold secret of our very real connection to all the life around us, especially plants.)
I know that God - the gardener - has tended to me from a young age, even though I didn't always realize it. Though floods, drought, storms, and disease hit me in the form of pain, humiliation, alienation, and loss, God made a way for me to learn from it all. As I grew stronger under his care, I learned to recognize all kinds of difficult weather as being an opportunity to learn qualities that could help me be an apprentice gardener of sorts, tending to others in the same way he tended to me.
I love gardening too, and enjoy shoving my hands in the rich earth in order to provide life for plants I grow. I hope I can make friends with others here, especially those who can appreciate how we exist in this world with and for each other.
Danny
