I recieved a gorgeous Easter lily this year and wanted to know if planted would it come up and flower again in the spring?

I've heard that they won't bloom again, but want to be sure before just throwing this magnificent plant away!

Any help appreciated!

Yes, if lilies can be planted and bloom successfully in your area, then you can plant yours in the ground. If you have lilies growing already, do not put your Easter lily near them as they are known to carry some type of disease that can be harmful to other lily plants nearby. Good luck!

Easter Lilies bought in a store or garden center have usually been "forced" to bloom, and may be difficult to get to bloom again when planted outside, but it's always worth a try! I planted one outside several years ago that I kept for 3 years and it never bloomed again. Hopefully, you'll have better luck!!

I've had Easter lilies that I've planted grow. Plant it and see what happens next year! :)
