I came across this while poking around in Pinterest this evening. The made a sub-irrigating planter out of a 2-liter bottle. I'll be doing this with my kids once their seeds sprout and get stronger. 2-liter SIP

Looks cute. I have done something similar. I wish I could enlarge the instruction pictures to read them.

Tina--I just clicked on the mini picture and it got larger--try again, I also just tried to copy & paste the picture/instructions out for you and i could not.

I've used string to wick water from one container to a plant...the kids thought that was interesting, but this is more practical.

Feed back on the copy I sent to school Every one in Breyton's class has to bring a 2 liter bottle on Friday the teacher called me and was excited about it,, I'll provide the soil for them she already has starter plants going at home,, Perfect deal!
