Don't know if this is the right place to post this. Forgive my newbie-ness! I am awaiting some mail-order bare root plants and I'd like to get rid of the voles in my garden first. Is there anything I can treat the garden with that won't harm my new plants?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Have you found their nest? We've put the nozzle of the house down into their hole and flooded it before. It kills the babies at least. Do you have any pets to be concerned about? If not, you can do some poison near their holes also.
