I just bought a snake plant not long ago and in the soil I am noticing small egg-like lumps. These lumps are pale green and about the size of peas but not perfectly round like a pea. They pop when squeezed.

Any idea what this is?

I guess it is possible. I haven't seen any like this, though. They are all completely under the soil and in clusters, not mixed in uniformly. How does this plant reproduce? Is it possible I am looking at something related to that?

It is most likely perlite that has become algae covered due to excessively moist conditions. Snake plant only needs water once per month.

I love the sweet scents wafting in the breeze. I stop to admire the vibrant colors of all living things. And people think me odd. Then ODD I am!!!
