I started a Coffeehouse...now I am going to try to sleep soon (I took my sleeping pills already).

I've got to get ready to leave,,, Jimmy and his son is coming over soon,, I'm going to load movies on his computer for him,, and his son is going to help the boys clean the back yard , mow and weed, maybe then I'll get inspired to beautify this back yard .. But Right now I have to leave to go pay bills and go to the store. I'm thinking maybe Grill Burgers and hot dogs for when the back yard work is done,, :wink:

Good afternoon all.

...such a sad thing watching the news of the tornado damage . I feel so blessed that the same storm is only bringing us heavy snow.

It has been sad watching the destruction. I am glad I only have 75 mph wind gusts today.
Also today I am getting a truckload of firewood from a nice neighbor. It should be driving up the road any time. I have my gloves all ready to unload it.

I can't bring myself to look up any news stories or videos and I'm thankful I don't watch TV. Sounds awful and sad. My back is still out but seems a little better. Can't really say for sure because I've been keeping up on anti-inflammtories. Going to try to get some laundry done today and I may take a walk later if weather permits.

I too have the TV off-- :wink:
Instead, Rod has the radio on to help me feel better about all of this--I have told him in the past how hearing music from when we were kids makes me happy.

I just keep watching the news...I am in shock and awe of how one storm session can cause such havoc and destruction.

I don't sleep at all now when they are in my area. Cutting right across my yard was just too close for me, as soon as it drys up enough thos summer I'm getting a storm shelter put in, already have it ordered.

Have any of you talked to Bestofour today? I saw on the weather earlier today there was a bad storm front...went across Georgia and headed straight for Sheri's coast.

I can't watch either. Prayers to you all, especially those who have lost loved ones. Cheryl, I hope your back feels better soon!

Good morning all...snow is finished but it is still a blizzard out there with the winds. A good day for staying inside.

WE had a good time with Jimmy yesterday,, back yard got finished,, then His son mowed the front yard and edged it. I made taco salad, tostados for every one. Jimmy and Julian and I took a drive to find Julians new School. Jimmy was wore out by the end of the day,, Thanks Jimmy and Alan for all your help

Keep safe, Tamara. I could not handle your weather any more. Today I woke to over 60* and it could be a lovely beach day. We still have winds in our canyon though.
Sunday is always a getting ready for the school week ahead for me. And usually a trip to McDonald's for my youngest son. So that is on my agenda again.

So weird how we are all here in one place (TGH) and our weather is so different.
The wind blew outside awhile ago and I dove under the freaking table with Lola....

Cindy, I was just thinking the same thing about the weather. Blizzards and beaches. Crazy!

Tina, my sister in S. Cal went to the beach yesterday. Will you make it to the beach today? You are such a good mama to your son. I love to hear your stories. It's so sweet to see the :ding: In fact, I enjoy everyone's family stories and photos.

Gosh, I didn't realize you guys were concerned about the weather here. There was some damage in Charlotte which is about 30 minutes from me but all we got was wind and rain. Sorry I didn't check in. Ginger's been here all weekend and I didn't even think about it.

I did not go to the beach today. It really isn't my favorite place to hang out. And at least 70 miles away with gas at about $4.33 and up. I really prefer to move, not lounge. And our beach water is too cold to enjoy.
But it got up to 75* here on my cool hillside. I got my wood stove cleaned out well. And ran the shop vac all around it to clean up the litter it leaves me. And took my blower outside to round up more litter before it gets tracked inside.
I did get to McD's for my baby boy. My baby will be 18 in a couple of months. That is making me run around like crazy to get guardianship established, etc. I will be popping him into the tub in a few minutes. I do love my forever boy, for sure. And just enjoy him. I am blessed.

This is the best 'family' ever.

Well...tomorrow I will take and post a few snow pics for you. You can try guess where my house is

Good morning. It is a little cooler than yesterday. But tomorrow is supposed to drop a lot. I am ready for the school week.
