We have had such a warm winter that my dafodills, crocuses, and grape hyacinths are starting to bloom. Many of my asiatic lilies are coming up as well as peonies. My linten roses have been blooming for weeks now, and many of the shrubs are starting to bud out. This spells disaster! We will almost assuredly have a major freeze before spring and it could completely knock everything back. This happened a few years ago and it took months for the plants to rebound.

Yep, my dafodills, crocuses & my transplanted wild violets are coming up as well. I have not uncovered my dwarf iris to see if they are comng up. why I am hoping since they are all on the east side right next to the house, that they will be protected enough to not be lost when the cold comes--well if in deed it does come...at this point it is anyone's guess. I guess I should go out back to see if thigns are coming up my flower bed there?? although I w ill say that I have stated earlier my hosta that dodge sent me appears to be poking thru the ground. nervous--

Here, too, hostas, hyacinths, tulips and daffodils are poking out of the ground. My butterfly bushes are growing new leaves, as are my yuccas. It's so weird to see all this, but I much prefer this, than the severe winter of record snowfall we had last year.

I went out today took a few pictures of my unseasonable flowers in teh front bed.

The first picture is of my snow crocus---now I know they come up/bloom early but I think the first part of February is a bit TOO early.

[Linked Image]

Next is: well I will not know until it blooms---I thought that I had moved all of my daffodils to make room for my dwarf iris---but these are not dwarf iris why---& if anyone knows where I put the scematics of my flower beds at, & they will tell me, then I will get them & we will know what it is lol--The other alternative is that we wait until they bloom. rolz

later note: I just had a thought---this may be tulips--I think someone bought me potted flowers last spring--perhaps that is what this is---still want that scematic

Below are 2 more pictures of my in my front flower bed. These are the bulbs of the daffodils that I brought from the farm. My Oldest DD LOVED flowers so we planted these & some tulips. However moles LOVE to eat tulip bulbs--daffodil bulbs not so much grin

Sadly my hyacinth are doing more than just peaking thru the ground.... why
