Last year my parents were tilling their garden and ran into a cottontail nest. They destroyed the nest but, didn't kill the bunnies. My mother brought them in and this rabbbit had a
injured back leg from the tiller tines.

All the internet sites said these wild rabbits cannot survive handling and just let them die. I called a rehabilitation person
and they said these rabbits don't live long and just put them outside. They were too small to walk and their eyes were not open yet.

I took care of them and when the siblings were old enough I released them. Nina was different because she was injured so I had to carry her around in a hat for months.
She became unafraid of the indoor cats, people and still hops a little slow from her injury.

She is too tame to release now and has lived indoors over a year. I still see her siblings from time to time because they will come to me to collect treats if I am quiet
but, afraid of everyone else.

Very cool, TS. I would try as well. Or find someone who could.

She looks sweet. I'm glad you didn't listen to the people who said not to bother. You even got a great little pet from it. I used to have pet rabbits when I was a teenager, they're great company.

How cute of you doing that..
I too like bunnies. Son had a black one an I tamed it to come to me an eat. It used to sleep on top of our cows backs when they layed down for the nite.

Bunny is cute.. Harmless too.
