Hello! (go easy on me, this is my first post!)

In the last year or so, Ive taken over caring for my beau's cactus. He's had it for maybe 6 or so years. He said it was about 3 inches tall when he got it as a house warming gift...

... it's now pushing 7 feet!!

I'll try to post a picture of it because I've never seen one so large.

Welcome to the forum!
I can't wait to see a picture of it...I'm intrigued now.
Wonder if it is the same kind of cactus I gave to my cousin a few years ago...I got it when it was about 3 inches tall and now it's about 4 feet tall.

I had to repot that beast.... that was a painful process!!

I much prefer 'my' (also his) aloe, it's also gigantic too (in the pic as well)

I am not sure what that is/ The picture is not close enough to actually tell. It looks more like a euphorbia to me.

No idea what it is but I want one. I love cactus and succulents, and anything else that thrives on neglect. As much as I love houseplants I often forget to water them.

The last picture didn't come through as a link. I'd really like to see it close up.

It did not show up at all.
I got, "Your search - https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-c8fH7M9OJNA/TydJ03mq_OI/AAAAAAAAAD4 ... - did not match any documents. " on both google and yahoo.

If you copy the whole link (minus the image parts) into the navigational pane it will bring up the picture. Its directions for the actual site.

You have a Candelabra cactus, Euphorbia lactea
They need lots of bright light and moderate watering during the growing season, but cut back on water during the dormant, winter months.
Warning! The milky sap is very poisonous so use gloves and lots of care when working with these Euphorbias.
