Good Morning--says the sleepy girl with a cup of coffee in her hand. (yea don't ask em how I am typing while holding a cup.)  I have a lot to do today & not enough time to do it---I wish I were a Genie---I could just blink my eyes & nod my head & it would all be done---gee what a dream----I know!!! I will tell my DH I want maid service for my present from him---- Emily asked us to come over tomorrow & I know there is not enough time to do that, & it would add such a nice touch to Christmas-----oh well. I will be here, or not, over the next 3 days----so if I do not "see" you all, Please have a Merry Christmas.

Good morning! I have to go grocery shopping today (yuck!) and I really don't want to. It's going to be so packed. Maybe an ativan beforehand will help? I also want to go running and I have to drive to Whole Foods and see if they have any ready made gluten free pies because I really don't feel like baking one. The girls and I are headed to my mom's about four for dinner and presents there. Maybe I can get the family in the car to drive around and look at lights tonight. Hope you get everything done that you need to, Carol. Cindy, keep on being silly. It is a dirty job and you're the perfect person to fulfill that position with the honor it so deserves.

Shopping done---but baking & housecleaning is not---Going to my youngest DD today for awhile instead of doing the above-- The guy at the bank said for me to forget the cleaning--said tell the people they came to see me not my house---as his suit cost more than most of my clothes together I'm a'going with it. Going to my DD's & will be home by 3. 'cause my oldest willbe here then.

They are coming to see you, Carol. And you have had two surgeries back-to-back recently. Relax and enjoy the season.
Shopping is done. Wrapping is complete. Today I am cooking a little. Eggs for deviling and I have half of a cheesecake/mousse done. I have just have to add the mousse part. I have a pot roast in the crock and I will put together some bacon-wrapped smokies a little later for baking tomorrow. (I call them heart attacks).
I have to go to town later and pick up my older son.

Well, here is how it went down---
I went to my youngest's house today & made my pies there.
Today when my oldest came, she my oldest brought cheese dip so I didn't have to make dips---then I decided that I did not have to make a cheesecake so I didn't make that.
House is clean----yay me !!!!
But I did set out all my breakfast things plus put together a breakfast casserole so all I have to do is pop it on the oven tomorrow.--and I took a nut roll out of the freezer--yay me!!!!--Coffee is all set too---I have a Keurig.
Oh and thanks for your kind words !!!!

Sounds like a wonderful day, Carol.
I got a call from my oldest daughter and she has a nasty cold. So she won't be here after all. But I will have my boys with me. I still have to wrap bacon around my lil smokies for baking tomorrow. And I am making deviled eggs, they are boiled already. That and some basic lunch meats and veggie tray will be food for the day. I have french toast for morning. All made just needing heated. With bananas and tangerines. I have leftover pot roast if an evening meal is required.
I think the boys and I will take my oldest's gifts to her with some food and trade on her doorstep keeping plenty of space 'tween us and her germs. That could be fun.

Merry Christmas everyone! Very windy here today but luckily we don't ever seem to lose power. Hubby and the kids have already devoured the mock Olive Garden stuffed mushrooms and the rib roast is in the oven. Bill, I hope your power stays on.

We got up to almost 70 on my hillside. Down in the valley was mid 70's.
A pretty good day with good food and great family time. I am ready for a nap but I really put it off pretty late in the day.

Sorry about not getting to eat much good Christmas Dinner, Cindy---My youngest DD and my Niece both were not well either----that should not be allowed on the holidays---
VERY nice boots !!! I am so very happy for you--they look so warm & so comfortable too!!!
Cheryl---that dinner sounds lovely---it makes me hungry just reading about it & believe me, I ate enough to last me several days--so you know it sounded good.
Tina: It was very nice weather here too--it was only i n the mid 50's but it felt much warmer---probably because of NO wind & the nice sun that was out...
I got several nice gifts but the niceset was 2 Elevated raised veggie beds---they are only 30 by 34 by 18 but if I like them I figure I can buy me another one or 2, right???
one of my funny gifts was a gardening sign--it says
"my husband said if I got any more plants, he would leave me---I am sure gonna miss that man"...

I got fun stuff, some dvd's and bath blankets. Everything was from my list. Some I purchased and put from Teddy on the tag. So I know they are always right. :wink:

Good morning. I woke to the sound of a breaking pipe outside. Today will be plumbing repair. But it didn't get a chance to flood and it was just beyond a shutoff that doesn't mess with my water supply to the house. So it is a minor disaster. Not a major one.

I woke to the sound of a breaking pipe outside. Today will be plumbing repair. On Sept 20...I had just been out of the hospital for 9 hours...I woke to the hot water heater leaking all over the floor.  Got some neighbors I didn't even know to help me fix it (took all day...new water heater)...I was back in the hospital the next morning. Breaking pipes, etc. suck.......

Mine is outdoors and will be an easy fix when I get to it. I didn't today. I don't need to right away for that one and I had other plans for the day.
I didn't go shopping which I had seriously considered. I will need to tomorrow though. Teddy is out of yogurts. He is expanding his meal options but by slow increments. Yogurt is a basic for him.

around 2pm I took my second nap of the day---another 1-1/2 hour nap----it was wonderful !!!! I have no idea why I do not nap more often---I really should do that---
