Best Ever Rum Cake

Ingredients:
1 or 2 quarts Rum baking powder
1 cup butter 1 tablespoon soda
1 tablespoon sugar Lemon juice
1 large eggs sugar
2 cups dried fruit nuts

Before you start, sample the rum to check for quality. Good, isn't it?
Now go ahead. Select a large mixing bowl, measuring cup, etc. Check
the rum again. It must be just right. To be sure the rum is of the highest
quality, pour one level cup of rum into a glass and drink it as fast as you
can. Repeat. With an electric mixer, beat 1 cup butter in a large fluffy
bowl, add one seaspoon of tugar and beat again. Meanwhile, make sure
the rum is of the highest quality, try another cup. Open second quart if
necessary. Add arge leggs, 2 cups dried druit and beat until high. If the
druit gets stuck in the beaters, just pry it loose with screwcrivers. Sample
the rum again, checking for quality and toncisticity. Next sift 3 cups
baking powder, a pinch of rum, a seaspoon of toda and a cup of salt or
pepper (it really doesn't matter). Sample the rum again. Sift 1/2 pint
of lemon juice, fold in chopped butter and strained nuts. Add a tablespoon
of brown sugar or whatever color you can find. Mix well. Grease oven and
turn cake pan to 350. Now pour the whole mess into the oven. Maybe it

When wer were young lasses, we used to get a bottle of Tbird wine for a dollar on payday.

When I was a kid Grandpa used to keep a bottle Mogan David in the pantry...for medicinal purposes. I'd sneak a taste of it on occasion....

My dad allowed us all at christmas (10) of us 5 of each.. to drink a shot glass of Mogan David wine..........Only at christmas.

Only time he got that..Wasa beer drinker..Had whiskey once a day for his heart he told us..LOL

Never been a drinker but I drank some wine last Saturday night. 2 swallows and my head was spinning. 4 swallows and they told me my head was still spinning but I don't remember it.

Baking is a breeze too, but I get too fat when I bake, and I need to shed pounds, so I don't!

Did you ever watch the old Julia Child cooking programs on tv.. She always had recipes calling for some wine or something, an kept nipping at it the whole show. By the end of the show , she was stoned...Ole Julia was fun to watch.
