Hello! I took some cutting from a weeping willow early summer and they have done great outside my apt in pots (they are standing about 2.5-4 ft above the pots now)... However it is getting cold out side and because they are potted I am curious if it would be harmful/helpful to bring them inside for the winter?? I live in Southern Kentucky. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Michael

Welcome, RMichael. If you are worried that the roots will deep freeze beyond recovery you could bring them in. Or you can bury the pots to nearly the tops and that often helps. You can bring the pots very close to your home for protection and insulate the pots as much as possible. Insulation can be made of almost anything that will keep the deep cold away. Leaves piled up around them even. As long as the wind will not blow them away.
Good luck.

Hey....I live in southern Kentucky, too.... wavy

Any reason why you can't just plant them in the ground?
If not, Tina's answer was the ticket.
