Can I store the seed from vegetables and flowers in small plastic bags with holes in them? I used a needle to poke the bags so the holes are small. What is best? I find it a pain to be making miniature bags out of paper?

Junk mail envelopes work well too. If you use plastic, make sure those seeds are very dry. They can develop mold and things and not grow for you. Even with holes.

I usually use small enveoples, unless the seeds are still in the seed pod then I use a brown paper bag.

Go with paper for the best.
Daily we get junk mail an envelopes. Makes great seed holders.. I cut the corners a few inches each way an tape the raw ends.

Also the junk envelopes you get can be reused as your own mail.
Put a blank sticker in the middle an address to ??

Put your own label left top corner.

Ps if you punch holes in plastic, little seeds will escape.

OR you can take pages of seed catalogs an fold to make nice envelopes. Like square boxes we learn in school.

The best way to store seeds is in glass jars. Canning jars work well.

Welcome, Emma. I find that, in jars, seeds can still develop mold very easily. Even in my dry desert. Paper helps the drying process remain static. Not too dry and not getting additional moisture.

I don't need anything thanks for asking. I just haven't seen anyone post about it lately and was wondering.
