I am logged in here on my desktop, no problem. I had been logged in on my laptop, also no problem until the weekend that Tropical Storm Irene hit us here. The laptop wasn't plugged in, so I don't know if it's just coincidence or not, but ever since then, I have to log into this site on the laptop each time. Yes, I try to click on the remember me box, but it won't take. Not only that - I can see the forums list page as logged in, but when I click on any forums it logs me right back out again, and I can only view them as a non-member.!

Any clues as to what is going on?

Well it's very odd, and quite frustrating I must say. I can come on here fine on this desktop, but if I am out with the laptop it's too much of a pain.

What browser are you using? have you tried any that aren't internet explorer? I know the newer versions of IE have issues with how cookies are handled that will be addressed soon in the forum software.

Today is the first day in a long time that I am able to access the forums on my laptop. It's really quite strange - I've had no problems getting into any of my other frequently visited sites.

Gad.......

Still not 100 % on what the problems is or isnt.
How many of you use internet explorer an How many use fox fire or something else?
Wondering if that is the problem?
Fot the desktop back an all is well there.

Now the interner broadband is bonkers as usual.
THey know not why?
TOwer is right above the house an it still goes out.
They are blaming electrical problems.
Electric never went out once??????
Yahoo was terrible last few days too.

When I upgraded on explorer 9.......I think it is. I cant keep volume in control and I cant ckee the letter sizing in control.

Oh my..

IE8/9 is full of all sorts of quirks; you should try Chrome or Firefox or Safari and see if the problem persists...

Is it this message?
[Linked Image]

If it is, it's just XP/Vista/7's default warning message that appears on any download. If you got a reliable anti-virus then I wouldn't worry about the message.

Yeah, they make Safari for Windows.

Some users don't like how it handles, so I'd also recommend either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

OK--Lynne is haviong trouble again guys--here is what she said to me:

Once again I cannot stay logged into TGH or post in the shout box about it once I do log in. Each time it goes to another page there, it logs me out. I tried clearing the cookies there but it won't let me - keeps going back to the same cookies.

Would you please ask Bill or James for suggestions for me when you get a chance?

thanks so much!

Here is my story.
I need to sign in each time I come here.. IF I CLICK REMEMBER Me, it wont sign me in.
Dont click that box an see what happens.

Some times I just have to click on the box an my name pops up an password.
Other times I click more than once. Different browser helps sometime.

Good luck,The modern world isnt always the greates world.
