Have fun at the zoo, Nana! We're taking the residents in a couple weeks. My favorite work field trip. Nice to not have much to do, Tina, enjoy your weekend. Merme, I hope you get more girls like that one, she sounds like she not only knows what she's doing but has pride in her work. Carol, have fun at the BBQ! Sorry, but you'll never catch me eating a rueben. Bill, hope your eyes check out okay! As for me, I'm trying to take it mostly easy and just do what I want to do. I'm going to need to start the laundry soon and I want to trim outside. I'm thinking of a bicycle ride as well. I found some gluten free cream of mushroom concentrated soup and am very much looking forward to putting that in my crock pot with a bunch of pork chops. I have not had a chance to have pork chops that way in a very, very long time and I'm really looking forward to it. I also bought some asparagus to go with it. We don't usually do anything special for Labor Day. I have to work, DH is working, the girls are working. We did have an end of summer burgers and corn on the cob dinner last night though. Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!

Good morning. I have no plans for my day much. Maybe a little laundry. I could go out and rake up some more litter. May attend a BBQ later on. I just don't have any pressure to do much of anything and that is good.

Good morning....

I'm supposed to go to the "Annville Institute Gathering" today...(Annville was a private school I went to when I was 15-16.) I'm so not wanting to go...I hate those kind of things. Maybe I'll show up in my Annville majorette outfit with my baton....lol

Annville Institute, so this means you were 'institutionalized' from an early age?

I actually went and looked it up. Have fun while you are there, Cindy.
I live in my home town and have not attended a single reunion of any kind. Even though John was a faculty member of my high school.

The oink oink people called the sheriff on me (someone) today. It would seem that every time mr. oink fired his many guns off (beginning at 8 AM on a Sunday morning)
every time oink fired his gun, some @#$%^& yelled oink or sooooooooweeeeeeeeeee, and it was really upsetting the oink woman.
Curse that evil angel that kept doing those vile oink calls!
The officers left, and there has been no further gunfire... so far

Good grief...are they still doing that? I remember many times being outside and that [BLEEP] starts shooting and me and Shadow had to run to the house. They are definitely evil people. oink

Crazy people, it sounds like. Very crazy. Good morning! I thought about going in to work today but it's my last chance at a long weekend, and I need the break, so I decided to stay home. I'll need to use some vaca hours but that's okay. The kids start school this week and I won't be taking anymore days off until the holidays start rolling around. It's supposed to be really warm this week, ugh.

I have done my usual Sunday afternoon routine. Ted is bathed and so am I. I packed up a mess of cookies for his classroom for the week and some other things he saves to donate. I am nearly ready for bed. It is too bad it is only a little after 5 pm. Much too early to sleep and too late to nap.

Good Morning,

It is a fine cool morning here- got up early to go over and get boys off to school- Jon had a followup dr appt and carrie went with him... then came home and took a short nap.. 5:30 was extra early for me...

I need to make another batch of pancakes today and maybe some banana bread- it's finally cool enough to bake again without heating up the house to umbearable levels...
Got laundry to do too and some vacumming and dusting to do too... always something to get done...
Have a good day all!
Nana

Phew, what a busy morning!

It was still raining to beat the band when we left at 8 AM to go to Portland. This was our morning to volunteer at the Essentials Pantry. Maxi was assigned to give out bar soap and launry detergent. I was assigned to children's clothing. We had a blast, as usual!

Got home and my girl made up some grilled cheese and turkey sandwiches. They were delicious on such a wet day when it is only 63.

I had a rough night; lots of pain, so Maxi is napping to make up for his lost sleep during the night when I needed his help.

I might roll up in my own blankets come to think of it!

Sherri ~ you can pass some of that bananananana bread this way, please!

I got Teddy to school and made four stops on the way home for a variety of items. It is the beginning of a long period without any breaks for him until Veteran's day. So the last short week for a while. Both of us get mighty tired. He would be better with a 3 day week.

Long day...had tests at the hospital this morning. I think I have consumed enough barium in the last 3 years that I am probably radioactive...maybe I'll start glowing in the dark soon.
Then went to the 4th floor to visit with my dad for awhile...
....then came home and hit the recliner between many trips to the bathroom... lol

A cool rainy day here....wonderful. We sure needed the rain. Wish it would rain in Texas.

Well....it's much better when you can drink it at home cold out of the fridge with vodka. When Shirley was here to visit I had to drink 3 quarts of it starting at midnight...I mixed it with Dreamsicle and vodka. I don't even remember who carried me into the MRI place the next morning at 7am. lol

Good morning, everybody! wavy

Another very wet day here and only 61 degrees.

Maxi gave away so many bars of Irish spring soap yesterday he was dreaming of all things Irish through the night! lol At 1 AM I woke him up to ask him to go get my pain medicine for me and he went into the kitchen then called to me to say "Mommy, we have no Irish pie medicine!"

It is going to be another busy day. And really too hot to move. I am very grateful for a/c in my van. But after tomorrow we are supposed to cool down again. I am looking forward to it.
I have a couple of appointments this morning. But none should take me long.

I went to the hematologist this morning and it turned into an all day affair again. My appointment was at 10...I finally got in to see the doctor at 1:30. I was just about to call and order a pizza.

So...found out I don't have leukemia, which I was never worried about since my brother went through the whole leukemia scare a few years ago and it turned out to be Polycythemia, which is what I have. So, I have to go get a few pints of blood taken out every week to 10 days.

I tried to go to sleep awhile ago....what a crazy idea! haha

I am sorry you had such a long day, Cindy. I'm thinking you should begin to raise leeches. You can cure your own problems and sell the excess for bait.
I had to go read up on the Polycythemia again.
