Hi-I'm looking at a planting guide for the Sacramento area to see what I can plant this fall. A couple items have a notation of PIP. The key states this is Plant in Place. I don't know what this means and can't find the meaning anywhere. Specifically it is for snap beans and carrots. If you know, can you please let me know? Thanks

They don't like to be transplanted, so no pre-starting them in pots or trays.
Plant them In the Place they are going to grow...
