Hi--
I have a (once beautiful) Jade that I am rather concerned about. Its about 4 yrs old, grown from cutting, change soil maybe every 1.5 yrs and fertilize every quarter. The issue is that the leaves are HUGE and are very droopy---laying parallel to the trunk in some areas. The leaves look fat and happy, no visible growth anywhere that would indicate mealybugs. I'm at a loss. I did just pinch back and removes quite a few leaves as the weight was causing the branches to fall over. The pics are the plant after the removal of leaves and tie-back/up of other branches.
Any help is truly appreciated!!!!

The pictures seem to show a jade on the way to being happy again to me. Jades are touchy about changes and will react to stress by dropping leaves. Your jade is reacting to the pruning you did and should perk back up and begin some regrowth pretty soon.

I did the prune yesterday due to the droopy leaves and overburdened branches. I wish I had taken a picture before I pruned it back! So not sure if that is the issue...maybe it is, but to me it looks better, though a bit "charlie brown christmas tree-ish". I never move it, it is next to a window that does get sun, but we have a sun shade over the garden the window over looks. I am wondering if its getting ENOUGH sun? I will be devastated if this plant doesn't come back---my first jade and favorite plant (just don't tell the others).

Is it normal for the leaves to be ridiculously huge?
Is it normal for the leaves to point themselves downward as opposed to my other plants where the leaves are straight out or pointing upwards.

All of this seems to me like the plant is stressed somehow. Moving to a new room or re-potting can do this. I am not sure what else may be making your plant unhappy. Maybe it is in too much draft from a/c?
I grow my jades outdoors and in the ground here. I don't baby them at all. It is a matter of live or don't. Most of mine are about 3-4 feet tall with trunks as big as my thigh. I grow them in outlying areas because they are so easy. So I am not so familiar with them as indoor plants.
