His name is Spartacus Maximus Striped-Snake Spider-Monkey Mean-@ss Ninja-Cat.
(...I don't usually call him by his entire name unless he does something really bad.)
He is my 'little' Maine Coon kitty. He was born last year out in the yard. His mommy and daddy were dropped off and found their way to me. His mommy was killed (hit by a car) when Spartacus was 5 weeks old. tears His daddy (who I named "Cat Daddy") still ghosts around but is wild...but he knows he can always eat here.

Spartacus was probably 5 months old in this picture...and you can see what huge paws he had already!
[Linked Image]

I will have to say he fits right in with me because he is as crazy as I am.
I will be adding to this topic as I come across pictures of him.

Here's one of his crazy antics. When he was a kitten he loved to play with potatoes. He had this sweet potato for several weeks before I finally threw it away. He worked many hours for many days to get the potato in the space under the hall tree.....

And, yes...he finally got the potato under the hall tree... lol

Right now his favorite toy is a huge zucchini the neighbor gave me a few days ago.

I watched all 3 of your kitty videos. So sweet. My step-mother had a fetching cat. You'd ask where his soc was and he would always find it and bring it for a game. That was fun.
Tiny Spartacus in the laundry basket is sweet.
Thank you for sharing him.

Guess you could hear how bad my lungs are from the "fetching" video. (Partially collapsed)
Sparta might be a pain the butt but he sure brings some excitement to my day!

I can only see the last two pics. The otherwise say they've been moved or deleted. He is one nice looking kitty though.

I don't care how big something is, if I throw it he will fetch it. The other day I got perturbed because I kept tripping over my flip flops. I picked them up and threw them across the room....and, yes, Spartacus immediately brought both of them back for me. lol

It's a never-ending hassle to keep Lola safe. I don't take ANY chances with leaving them alone for not even 30 seconds. I am always right beside Lola, and if I have to out to take the trash (which just takes a minute) I lock Lola in her cage. I will never get comfortable with this big monster and Lola together. That's why I didn't want to even keep him when he was a kitten...but I could not find a suitable home for him and he stayed so long I got too attached and then couldn't part with him. So...my life is dedicated now to keeping him away from Lola.

Well...DUH! lol
That does sound so much easier...to throw Sparta in the bathroom and close the door, rather than wrestling Lola into her cage. You are a genius!

Thanks for sharing the cute videos and photos. My dogs are getting old and I've started to stock up on the photos and videos I know I will need after they pass. I don't know much about cats but Spartacus seems like a very unique kitty.

Love the pics and the video of spartacus. The fetching thing is sooo cool. Never seen a cat do that before. He's very beautiful cat too. I may be a bit bias though because my cat looks almost just like him in the face and though he's not a maine coon, he has the symetrical black striping over gray and then white chest and white socks on his back feet that go up high enough that I always say looks like he has jack-rabbit feet.

Thank you for sharing your photos and pics. I know that whole 'don't plan to keep em but got attached thing' That's what happened with him. My son found him 3yrs ago abandoned at about 4 weeks old. I took him in but said I wasn't keeping him cuz I already had one. I would just bottle feed him and when old enough I would find him a good home. Notice I said that was 3yrs ago lol Now he's my baby!!!!!

You must have gone to a better place than I did when you were in a coma. Your freaking red flowers tried to kill me when I was in a coma.(The ones by the car...I can't remember their name now)

This cat is wild today....I'm tending to think Merme might be right that he has a "neurological problem"...lol Right now he's trying to jump through the glass on the storm door. why

I tried to take a picture of the scratches on my leg from him...to show how big his paws are. (Claw marks are an inch apart!!!) No batteries for the camera so I took a pic with my phone and emailed it to myself...don't know if that's gonna work...we'll see.

When I woke up from my coma, I remembered something embarrassing I had done a few days before I went into it. So, I asked my sister Nancy, the RN, if I could blame the coma brain damage, claiming it retroactively, back to that embarrassing moment? She said "Nope, ya gotta be embarrassed every time you remember it!" lol Sisters!

Cindy, didn't they make you do "brain training" after you woke up? You know, to get the wires connecting again?

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

bow lol

Today is gonna be one of 'those days'...
Lola just dumped her cereal everywhere (bad bird!) and Spartacus decided he couldn't wait for his fish to thaw out in the sink, got right in the water and grabbed it out, jumped in the floor, his tail was soaked so now the floor is soaked. I'll have to get a pic on here of his magnificent tail...it's 8" diameter...like a freaking dust mop. Well, like a freaking MOP mop right now. rolz

Lola eats Golden Crisp or Life cereal every morning. The Golden Crisp is sweet...I have to wash the sticky off her beak when she is done. lol

Spartacus is on a roll...the water cat just dumped his water bowl all over the floor.
It's been a circus here this morning.....
