i recently moved some ferns, one of them is totally wilted and the other is half wilted i have been watering them daily, but how do i know if they are dead or just dormant and if they are dormant should i cut the wilted fronds and just wait till next year?

im new to the whole world of gardening so any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Ferns like shady areas. Shady areas do not need watered every day. You may be drowning them. Poke your finger into the surrounding soil. Do not water until the top few inches of soil are dry.


I love the sweet scents wafting in the breeze. I stop to admire the vibrant colors of all living things. And people think me odd. Then ODD I am!!!
