This little guy gave me quite the startle when I placed a plant near this water plant in the pond. He was so perfectly camoflauged in the brown/green plant that I did not see him til he moved his eyes!

It is amazing how well they blend in I had a toad do the same to me this weekend. I planted the shovel in the garden just a few inches from him and didn't see him till he jumped.

Great Shot. You should enter it in a photo contest.

Awwww thanks everyone! He is still here - sings his heart out every evening looking for a mate! Don saw him on a rock by the pond late this afternoon - he usually sees him in the skimmer - opened the top for him and he jumped right in.

wel, 3 inches is not a small frog---well not in my book--but yes he does look like about a say 6 inch frog doesn't he ??
