I guess you all have seen that sad story of the 5,000 birds which died on NYE? Has anyone heard a definitive reason as to cause?

Thorny, what do you know?

I saw that this morning on the news.
That is really freaky.

There's no way they can say that happened because the birds were stressed from fireworks...I'm not buying that one. uhuhh

yea I heard a vet say that he did not know what happend but that the birds were stressed---well no--I am not buying it either--

and it is funny that so many fish have died in the same state---I say it is NO coincidence as they are trying to say.

Well I did hear a vet who did necropsy on the birds say they all had internal trauma as evidenced by bleeding around the liver, as if they'd flown into something and gotten broken up. But these birds typically do not fly at night so why were they flying on NYE?

I think your cat got out and cut through Tennessee to go hunting. You are involved in a cover up.

I've always thought there was something fishy about Cindy Lou Faye. Maybe the birds were looking for that fish.

I wonder if they tested the one bird found half alive by a young girl..she has been keeping it as a pet.

This morning I heard that another large number of the same type of bird died in Pointe Coupee Parish, Lousianna, about 300 miles south of where the birds died in Arkansas.

Fish and Bird death is showing up globally. Louisana, Arkansas, Kentucky, Sweden, New Zealand, Chesapeake Bay, Antonina and Guaraquecaba. Very scary....definitely NOT fireworks! And I'm sure there will be more reports in days to come....this is a phenomena.

The bird deaths are the top google search thing going on right now. But I also found this:
"Mass bird kills aren't uncommon. The US Geological Survey documented 90 mass deaths of birds from June to December last year. Over the past 30 years, it counts 16 events in which 1,000 birds or more suddenly died......
Millions of fish die in kill-offs every year in the US, with causes ranging from pollution to stress. Moreover, some 5 billion birds die annually, most from natural causes."
I have actually been in the middle of a bird die-off here one year. I just do not remember the year or the numbers of birds involved. I was pretty young. It was interesting but not too scary. And we have had an avian flu knock down hoards in a couple of more recent years. Those we picked up with gloves and sealed in plastic bags for carting off.
Birds and fish are sensitive to many stresses.

I thought they were scared off and flew at night by fireworks from the new years eve celebration.

That was an initial speculation, soon discounted by the experts. Also, it doesn't account for the deaths in Louisianna, 300 miles away.
