YES!!!! Pleade put my name on the list of those who want "edit" back.

I too make too many mistakes & I have just spent far too much time re-reading whtt I was going to post (down in Coffeehouse)---it took me like 30 minutes to type & re-read & check & fix what I messed up---it would have normally taken me like 5 minutes--and it was NO fun at all--

PLEASE James---typing is not my forte, honest.
Getting it back would be a wonderful Christmas present.

Which forums is it missing in? All of them? Did the change just happen abruptly or what?

nothing's changed that I know of...

It looks like Bill has all of the forums set to only allow "Edit" for 2 hours after a post is made, with the exception of this forum, where it's longer.

To those unable to see edit elsewhere, when you make a post in "Ask Mr. Gizmo" does it show the Edit at all?

Just did some permission updates, not sure if it had to do with anything, but let me know if it changed things.

very true Tina--BUT if we were to lose it I would rather it be in the PM area than out here, ya know???

I will admit, though, to have it anywhere is a good thing !!!

Yes but it proves that the button is hiding and not broken forever more. And maybe James can see what is written in the PM area that is missing in the general forum and figure out a fix.
I don't PM much. I live my life on the open forums for the most part.

I just posted a reply to a query about Kiwi about 10 minutes ago. I could not find the "Edit" button.

yep that is right papito--we are all like that now...
"things" might be set so we can "edit" for 2 hours after a post but in reality the only place we can ever edit is in our private messages.

I need one of you who're having this issue to please send me your username and password in a PT as I'm going to need to access your account not as an admin user (so using the built in functions aren't going to work).
