She been here 3 times already.Worrys of me . We grew up together an her man died many years ago an left her with 7 kids to raise.
She is doin well now.
Has a green house too.
We trade seeds an flowers also.

She lucked up her green house is heated from the sons machine shop. Free heat..

Sounds as if your friend knows waht it is like to be alone & she does not wish you to be--you are lucky to have such a good friend.

She made it .. Rough at first , but now they are giving back.

She has a green house, I love. And does all sorts of flower stuff.
I cant put up one. No heat for it an too much wind. She is down on hte flats.....My cup an saucers didnt mature, she says hers did.

Hubby has 4 sisters an a brother living . Brother in texas.
Not one of them sent a card or came by or called since the funeral.
One sis called my son last week to ask how we are. Said she is coming by , never did.
I was married 45 years, an never spent any time with them without hubby being there. 2 High nurses an 2 teachers.. High n the hog folks..

However I dont worry of it , same folks who robbed the Old estate.

Doesnt matter. My neighbor an her dog came calling today.
And son too.

Neighbor said another friend wanted me to come in her home. I am certainly getting lots of invites. I want to just go easy for now.
Still worrying of my unborn grand baby. Son took his wife for a check up, no problem yet , but has to go in again wednesday.
Wish it was here already. Sounds like a december baby not january.
Early just like Haley was.
Hope to have haleys 4th birthday on sunday.. Hope trish is there too.

I wish Trish & the baby well, Barb. As I have said before I was way earlier than your grandbaby will be & I am fine---so we will pray the same happens for them. Constant prayers for them both. :ding:

If I had known Johnny's family like I do now I might not have married him. No kidding. For me it's better that they don't visit often. If something happens to Johnny I hope they hear it from someone else because I'll be tempted not to call them.

She has about 7 adults an her mom an dad buying stuff..
I bought her scool clothes an whole bunch of small things. They're house keeps shrinking.

I knew for years after we married how they were. But thought folks making $100. a year would not be greedy.. Suprise !!!

I never communicated with any of them with out jack being there.
Mostly they ignored me.
The parents were the same.

Hubby was different .He favored all my side>LOL

Haley's like Aubry having her birthday close to Christmas. Aubry's is December 17th. Shelley has asked that we not give too much because her house is packed full of toys and junk the children have. She wants a Disney Princess Belle doll so I'll probably give her that and some Hello Kitty chap stick.

Son keeps taking loads to the good will to make room there.

Monroe has a thing called the Christmas Bureau that helps families give their children stuff for Christmas. Shelley takes stuff there each year. A lot of the toys her children get are opened and then never played with so it's like they're new. The grand parents (me included) go overboard for these children. I know Darbi has toys she's never played with once. It's terrible but it's like we can't help it. I'm going to do better this year though. I've bought her clothes that she asked for and will get her a video game or something like that and that's all.

Guess we all spoil the kids.

well that is it in a nutshell. It is us that want to do for the kids.--just wait until I get grandkids--- LOL
I always tell my kids that the gifts they get are not about what they want or get, but about what I want to do for them. Seeing them open the gifts I get for them and to see them happy is MY christmas.

OK Ladies---here is the scoop.

1) Emily began new birthcontrol--really bad timing as her Dh was just coming back into the country after a year. So I am hoping that God will decide this one for me..
2) Valarie just got engaged on Thanksgiving morning.
Wedding date 7-30-2011.
(that is the only date all summer that the church & hall they want is available on the same day) This will take place in brian's home town. There are more of Brian's family than of Val
's family--so Val's side will do the traveling.

Now you would think kids that are 30+ would want to get married ASAP, so they could begin a family??--
Brian is catholic so I know how he feels &
the main issue with Val & JJ was she wanted children & he did not. They had origiinally moved closer to home so I could babysit. That was 2 years ago, or was it 3?
now this will be 3/4 years out--and that will just get us to the wedding date.
But oh well, all I can do is hope all goes well for them.

I have my fingers crossed for you, Carol. And that it works out for the best for your daughters and their family hopes. And for any babies brought into the world happily.

Why won't they do what we want? Johnny's been telling Ginger for more than a year that he's ready. Her husband has been ready too. I'm surprised Ginger finally gave in. It's going to be a shock to a lot of people if she enjoys motherhood. She's already said that her child will have 1 toy out at a time. All I can say is what a dummy. :wink:

Carol, my Aunt can loan you some grandchildren. Between her 5 daughters they have 18 kids..she said the next one to add another is getting cut out of the Will

My grandmother stopped telling people at the senior center how many grands and great grands they had because it got embarrassing. 4 daughter, 15 grands and many greats and those had started reproducing before she passed away at age 96.

Sheri I bet Ginger is like my Emily----they both protest too much. I dont know Ginger but I am thinking my Emily will be one of those mother's that think HER children are perfect & will think everyone else should think so too.

My grandmother had 17 kids and none born in September, she said the reason was because she was too busy in December
