Good morning.
Well I DO get out "much" in fact probably too much--but I too get excited to go to Wal-mart. I think it is just such a break from our usual lives that we enjoy it more than we might.
Have fun---and how can a day with your DD & grand DD be be fun ???
If you uare getting worn--just remember that you are having some grand-baby fun for us who have no such ability, & enjoy it some for us.

I am just about ready to get ready & go to ceramics---I'll be back later today.

after ceramics I have to go do bookwork for my MIL. sadly teh $$$ I will earn is already spent.

I'll see everyone later-- wavy

Good morning. I hope you have a blast at WM, Tamara.
And you have yourself some fun at ceramics, too, Carol.
I am up and freezing. I let my fires burn low last night. But they are beginning to take off so we will be warm again soon. Getting ready to take my kid to school. I have no major plans for my day other than some more cleaning.

Morning everyone. Tamara, have fun at walmart. Carol, have a good time at ceramics. Bill, why would you be in trouble? That baby dolphin is way too cute. It's so tiny. I had one of the worst days ever at work yesterday. That means today has to better, it can't possibly be worse. After work I have physical therapy, which I look forward to.

Good morning, everybody!

It IS still morning, but just barely!

Oohhh, I have been on the run since 5 AM and am in the middle of a Stomp Me Busy day. But I'm getting much done, so no complaints.

Banking, bill paying, shopping, groceries....laundry, putting food away, cleaning up the kitchen & getting ready for my Avon boss to come to a meeting, yikes! yikes

It is weirdly warm today & this misty sort of rain. Feels like a storm is blowing up from the south or something but the sea gulls are whirling & crying overhead, like they do when there is a storm at sea.

Cheryl I am so so sorry yesterday was so horrid for you at work! I hope w/ all my heart today goes far better.

Mr. Bill, that dolphin is adorable! You are the best for posting the link...

Carol I hope ceramics is relaxing for you. And btw, what kind of a restaurant did your brother take you to that you could ONLY order salad off the menu? How odd!

Tam, oh have fun at Wal-Mart!! Sure hope you post a photo (when you get one) of baby in her Christmas finery.

Good (second) morning.
I am sorry your day was so hard yesterday, Cheryl.
I have been busy cleaning and tossing. I am determined to get rid of at least a quarter of our belongings. The unused ones. And between I am hauling firewood. Lots and lots of stuff to keep me busy.

hello everyone--I will show my DD this picture---she too loves Dolphins.

Bill I do not think you will get into trouble--who is gonna yell at you Shadow??? lol

Merme--about my brother---it was not the restaurant it was the foods I can have. There is no way I could find out the nutritive value of the foods in this place---so salad & grilled chicken it was for me.
Miles chose the restaurant he did because he knew they had a good Strawberry/spinach/ grilled chicken/almond salad. All I had to do was have them leave off the candied nuts and the cheese.

Tina I so hope that you will continue to enjoy your wood stove for me.

I want to go home and curl up next to a fire. It's blurry and wet around here today. My work day started off okay, then it started to go downhill very fast. It's all resolved right now and I've discovered that I have a lot of people on my side. My poor boss is getting the brunt of all the drama right now. Wish I could something for her but unless I can get some of these aides to talk to me we'll never know who's behind it.

I was going to mention that even if you can't get exact LISTS you can know in general --
baked or broiled fish is better than fried, for instance, so that you can at least eat something. And, you can always ask them to leave off a sauce, and just give you lemon slices if the fish is already broiled but doused w/ a fancy rich sauce. It is guesswork, but you should be able to get close to what you need.

So see? I think you did fine! Leaving off the candied nuts & cheese wasn't so bad, was it? why

I still think meeting w/ the dietician when you get to do that will be a big help because they are so used to working w/ people who eat out & can give you good, reliable, practical tips for dining out so you don't feel forced to graze the iceberg lettuce bar.

And remember, skajillions of people follow heart healthy diets every year successfully, and they dine out, attend wedding receptions, go to birthday parties and 4th of July celebrations and don't starve. Lots of help is out there, so be bold to go exploring at your local library, online, at your doc's office & at the cardiac rehab.

It's a big change, but I'm proud of you for trying so hard!

yes--Cheryl--so was I hoping today was a better day for you--here's hoping tomorrow is a much better day.

My ceramics was great---I got a gift that I am making back & put pearl on it and I put the glaze on another gift.

next week I will begin to work on a small "Flight to Egypt".

it too is for a gift. I am making primarily gifts for my one DD's MIL & the other's BF's mom right now.

But it is all fun.

Bill, we won't tell on you posting links in the CH thumbup

Well had a long day..I've found out that you just can't bribe a baby to take pics....no matter how hard I tried. We ended up with three separate appointments and out of all of that, only one pic.. lol and nope, no smile either.

Oh Tamara you can't have to many pics of grands--- I just don't have enough wall space !
or table space either for that matter...
Our favorite family pic is one we had done when carrie was 2 or so- she threw a big fit- cried till her eyes were red and swollen- other 2 kids were so exasperated they were giving her dirty looks- finally photographer gave her a rose to hold- she smiled for quarter of a second so we have a pic of her smiling with red eyes .. and the rest of us practicaly glaring at her... LOL!
We are getting snowed on right now... and the temps have dropped about 40*.. more coming tomorrow... not sticking yet but it will overnight..
Well off to make some dinner... need to take some more motrin to ward of aches from weather changing... so need to eat first..
Nana

Family photos are great, Nana. I also need to take some meds to ward off the pains aggravated by the elevator weather. Damp, dry, cold, warm all keeps the bones wondering how to react.

Nana we don't have your snow... we are having sleet... but no snow yet.

I haven't been feeling very well bec/ the docs adjusted my weight up too high at dialysis & haven't been taking off enough fluid each time. So as soon as I put any on, my heart hurts & I can't breathe right. So I've asked them to work on lowering my weight again, which they started yesterday & will continue tomorrow.

But this is misery.

And in the meantime, I've been diagnosed w/ renal osteodystrophy, a condition that occurs w/ end stage renal failure & the onset of dialysis when the levels of phosporus & calcium get whacky & the parathyroid starts producing stuff to conteract it all... basically it means my bones are being eaten away by the parathyroid secretions.

Fortunately, it is reversable w/ time & treatment. So, I'm getting to work on it!

Gotta get me to bed.

See you all tomorrow!

Safe away home, Everybody! wavy

Good morning all.

Merme, I do hope you can get your treatments in order so that you feel better kissie

Goofy family pics are the best Nana..shows the 'real' side of people, we never had any family pics done but plan to do so this spring(when the baby is old enough to be bribed to smile on command lol ) I am loving the $8 package that Walmart has now...one can afford to get pics done any time at that price.

Chilly out and still bare ground here..anything that falls, just melts. I should tackle some outdoor work today if I can. DH has the next 4 days off..Tomorrow is Remembrance Day here(holiday). So I plan to get a lot done if the weather co-operates..well DH as well haha

Good morning, Tam!

Having the baby's pictures done in the spring sounds like a great plan to me!

Tomorrow here is Veteren's Day, similar to your Remembrance Day, I think. It is a Holiday also but school's are out by individual areas and not nationally. Maxi is off but his cousins in Ohio are not.

Hi Merme, here Remembrance Day is a full holiday..everything is completely closed, every store, business, school. Hoping the weather stays nice, the past years we always ended up with snow or sleet for the ceremonies.

Good morning.--
Today is my parent's Wedding Anniversary and yes tomororw is Veteran's day. I think DH has to work as well.
I rthink most schools are off--the ones around here at least.

My dad was in WW II---he lied about his age so they let him inlist.

and with Chris just home and my dad here--yes we too will be especially sure to remember.

I have to go now--I need to stop at my parents--go to Rehab & then go to my MIL's to do her bookwork.

See ya all later---

Happy anniversary to your parents Carol.

Just got in from tackling some yard-work, I got a lot done in the past 3 hours(leaves and debris are all picked up, one shrub moved, two more cut back and an old rose bush dug out and discarded~it was all suckers). Feeling pretty good today so I plan to get what I can done. I figure another 3 to 4 hours of work outside will have me ready for the snow. thumbup

Awesome, Tamara! I know you were fretting about being behind.
I am always running behind, I feel. It is not a good feeling.
I am getting ready to go pick up my son from school.

The other heart was given to another for us to find.
