I did one year, about 4 years ago... Started nice, grew even nicer.. It didn't flower as much as I expected, but I thought maybe I got the growing medium wrong or I had the wrong shaped/sized pots/containers for it.. **I had tri~shaped pots, and put about 4 to a pot, so they might have had a bigger root system then the pot allowed**

Triss, I saw some statice seeds at the dollar store, 3/$1 but that was back in March, I'll see if they have any the one across the street, you know what? I might have some sitting in my seed box, lemme check!
Helping the world one seed at a time
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
It also holds it's blooms well above thickish rounded leaves (seaweed-looking) and the blooms wave in the breeze. It LOOKS like something from the ocean floor. Sea statice also does well in my semi-desert climate. But still looks 'coastline'.

Statice likes lean and dryish soil and space between plants. Fertile soil will produce lots of foliage and few flowers. This is true of most everlastings.
Its best seeded in coir pots. Dislikes having its roots disturbed.
