Thinking Madisson will put me back into the 'decorating scheme' of things, I haven't done much for any occasion the past few years.

It'll soon be time to start buying candy and treats for the kiddies.

I don't get started until much nearer to the holiday itself. September & October are terribly busy months for us with many birthdays which must come first.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Same here Merme, DD and grandmothers are in September and mine and God-daughters are in October as well(birthdays).

I noticed the stores have so many decorations for Hallowe'en now, and not at bad prices either. The dollar store is packed full with things.

Our Thanksgiving is in the second week of October also so Hallowe'en and leaves(fall decor) and turkeys go hand in hand here thumbup

Many of my fall decorations double as halloween & thanksgiving decorations.

I put out my jack-O'lantern's in the fall, with their faces to the back. Then a few weeks before halloween I turn them out so the faces can be seen. Then after halloween I turn them back so the faces don't show again until the weekend after Thanksgiving. THAT weekend I decorate for Christmas, so the Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving decs get put away. But I l ike that they all do double duty---I figure it is more ecnomical that way, & uses less storage space as well.

PLease keep your eyes open for an appliqued religious Christmas garden sized flag . They last longer, so I 'need' to buy one of those yet. angel
If I get the name of the company that would be good enough.....and would sure be appreciated.

I have most all the other holidays now in the appliqued flags.--But I had to cave & get a silk screened one for Christmas.

Yesterday when we were at the National Kidney Foundation Walk, there were many children in costume & they held a contest. The kids thought that was loads of fun and I must admit it was neat to see little princesses, ballerinas & ninja's walking with us! lol

We also got a pumpkin there which Maxi will decorate this week & set out.

He is trying to think of a costume because he wants to take his little brothers out & also we are having a costume party at church. I am encouraging him to be a vampire because he has those cool retractable teeth but he'd rather not. why

What is he thinking about Merme? Hopefully you can come up with something soon with not much expense.

I bought the baby a cow costume but she outgrew it..so I had to return it and they only had a 'spider' one left in her size.

Maxi is going out as Windy Man.

It is a very simple idea, really. You dress to look like you are being blown backwards by a strong wind.

So... we've put wire in an old tie to make it go sideways instead of straight down. We flipped an old umbrella backwards/inside out, like a strong wind would do.

He will wear his hair with lots of gel in it to make it stand straight up and back and he will drop his coat off his shoulders as though it too is caught in the wind.

I will try to get a photo of him tomorrow.
