here are some pictures, i took in the last couple of days, the last ones taken today when i was feeding the fish.

they seem really healthy considering that the pond has been drained and filled 4 times in the last 4 days shock

i need to go outside and work on it now, but i'm waiting for the heat to subside some rspb

thumbup looks great jiffy! are those iris in the pond?

triss its from all the junk at the bottom of the ponds, ya usaly do have ta drain ,refill a few times to wash out all the mud at the bottom. if not youll have muddy water. :wink:

actually, christy, that was the first drain... i used a syphon hose and "vacummed" the bottome to get the muck out. then, the tiers were not lined up right... then the hose to the pump came out of the top tier... then matthew left the water on too long...

and triss, i got that one as a kit from kmart on clearance for $50. regular price was around $75. three years ago.

shock grin i vacum hose! jiffy thats a awsome idea! thumbup i wonder if my hubbys shop-vac would work. it would save alot of work.

let us know if ya get one triss thumbup those are realy nice lookin

i used the fish tank vacumm syphon that has the screen on the end to do it, once i got it going, it went pretty fast.

it was about $8 at petsmart. good investment.

ouch is right. but, if you check around, you might find a kit like mine that has the 3 tiers already.

i don't know what kind of plants they are blush i know that there is some kind of rush pickeral, and something else, cindy sent them to me thumbup and then there is the one lily, some duckweed, parrot's feather, and a single water hyacinth that made it through the winter (it is no bigger than a quater right now) and i just bought a single water lettuce. i know they will be big enough soon enough lol

You got rid of your old pond????? Your original one? I guess it was too much work with 2 right? Did you transfer all the fish that were in it to your big one?

I can't believe you got rid of the pond...AND had someone else do it& miss out the fun(NOT!)

I want underwater lights for mine.

CINDY--------WHY? did you fall into it 1 too many times???

njoynit----if you get any underwater lights, the bulb lasts longer if it is not actually underwater. i have mine in my stream bed. my mom used her's down in her pond and it kept going out, then she put her's in the stream and it lasts longer. those little bulbs are like $4 and $5 a piece.

ok, so when i asked njoynit for waterlilies, my pond had not greened out yet. so here it is now

this was taken today. there isn't room for the lilies boohoo

but, that means i have an excuse for another, bigger pond grin
