What should be
~a memory~
It's like a bell that keeps on ringing
Calling me...

But I believe
What I can see...
And I can feel the warmth of love
Surrounding me...

So tonight I lay me down to sleep...
And pray the Lord my soul to keep...
That God's love will rescue me,
as you move on ~your soul is free
I live today to say good bye...
To all the promises left behind...
Here we are you and I...
a change of plans to say good bye

You had changed
But I take the blame
For all the words left unspoken through your pain...
I lived my life while held by reins
But cleansed myself by walking through the rain

If you listen there's a melody in how you live your life
You can write the song you want to hear
And I pray I've lived mine right

So when the mirror speaks as you look
It tells you've faced your inner fears
And in loving your song you'll find the hook
The melody you'll hear

So tonight I lay me down to sleep and pray the Lord my soul to keep...
In that God's love will rescue me, for the rest of my life...
So I stand near you to say good bye...
To all the promises left behind...
Here we are~ you and I...
with a change of plans to say Good Bye tears

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.
