Just introducing myself, have held an allotment since April 2010, so this was my first season. Thought it'd be good to get some ideas and advice before the 2011 season starts, so here I am!

Welcome. I am not altogether sure what an allotment is in your case. I'm assuming it is land to garden or farm on. I hope you find all of the info that you need here and keep coming back for more.

Welcome to the Gardeners Forum.

It is probably similar to our community garden, except that the alloted land in this case is about 2723 square feet or just over 0.62 acres. A good size land for a vegetable garden.
