I hope an interview turns into a job offer for you Tamara. I took some night time cold medicine last night and went to bed nice and early. I slept great and feel mug better today. So good, in fact, that it wasn't until I got to work that I realized that I never even thought to make coffee. Usually that's the first thing I do when I wake up. State is bad to check up on the corrections our building needed to take care of. Today is Aros's birthday and it seems that the girls overloaded their power strips because they were suddenly not working today. Doesn't surprise me. When I went down to their room that had their computer and printer plugged in and turned on (those always are on), they had their phones charging, a space heater going, a hair dryer, and a curling iron. Girls. I don't even own a hair dyer, lol. Well, I better go figure out what I need to order. See you all later!

Please don't tie me to a chair. I really get lots of rest. And I am only good for a couple hours a day of real work. It sometimes takes longer to type it out here than it does to do the things I do.
Yesterday I did nothing outdoors except water. I took Ted to school and came out of his school to a flat tire. So I called Triple A and they showed up to put on my spare for me. He said, "Having a bad morning?" I told him no, it was a very good morning. The tire didn't blow out going down the highway at 50 mph or above with my son in the van with me. It isn't pouring rain or 110 degrees out. I have no appointments I'm missing and I am only a couple of miles away from my favorite tire place. They repair for free even without buying extended protection on their tires. So although it took time that I could have been out chopping and lopping my shrubbery and trees, it was good. The trees and plants do wait for me.
Life is good. And there is one less nail on the roads to cause a disaster to someone else.
Today I got Ted off to school and did a little necessity shopping. I have that put away and have taken my rubbish down to the dumpster. I am about ready to head out with my loppers and get some more debris taken care of.

OK Tina--- lol since you have such a healthy attitude towards things, I will not tie you to a chair---that and I am not close enough to do so anyway--- lol

I have to agree with you---at least you were not driving down the road at 50mph---that could not have ended well. I applaude your outlook.

I have had 2 flat tires in my life--
1) I was driving by a farmers house, so I stopped to use theoi phone-(pre-cell phone era)-he had me drive the truck into his huge shed where he had all sorts of tire changing equiptment & in 10 minutes I was ready to go. He would not take any pay and I could not sent him a card, as he also would not tell me his name--he just wanted to do a good deed. Very nice man.

the other happend as I was pulling into my shed/turned garage.
yes there are things in life to be thankful for

Cheryl, I'd hate to see your power bill lol

I need to take some of Tina's happiness with me at times..it's great to see the glass as half full instead of half empty thumbup

Put on a chicken soup for supper and put down baby for a nap....a person kind of forgets how much little time you have with a wee one in the house. Everytime I attempt to take a shower, she wakes up. neener

about having little ones in the house, yep it is a job--but one of the best I think.

I agree--we should ALL take Tina's outlook on life to heart. thumbup

Chicken soup--I love soup. if it were up to me I would live on it--any kind of soup--but chicken soup is the best!!!!

DH is not a soup person. he got that from his dad--his dad was a meat & potatoes man,-- plus i think he thought
1 dish/casserole/soup meals were too easy on my MIL---

I also envy you taking care of Madisson--what fun that has got to be

Do we need clothespins for our noses, Tamara?
I am not always happy. But I am always looking for ways to be happy about any situation. It sure keeps my mind active sometimes.
I have been out today with my loppers clearing a lot of brush away. Then I decided I needed to come in to eat. I won't work outdoors any more unless it is just to rake up the dregs. So I put in a whole hour and 15 minutes today. It was a good hour though.

well Tina that is 1 hr & 15 minutes more than I have put in yet today.
It is so seldom that I have a day completely to myself, that I cannot make myself work much today. I am going out to sweep the walk & driveway here in a few minutes though, but really how long can that take????

ok so now we know--it takes about 15 minuites to do with a push broom.
it would have been quciker to do wqith my blower, but since DH moved it from the basement to the shed out back, it woul dhave taken me more time to go get it & set it up than it would have to use it. I guess he & I really need to talk about that....

now, after I do some dishes I think I am done for the day until supper..

I have a good general idea of most people's time zones. But it is still funny to me to be thinking about breakfast, which I eat late, and hearing people beginning dinner prep.
I am getting ready to go pick my son up from school, which I also do early every day. I like my afternoon nap times. Even if I don't sleep.

Good afternoon everyone wavy

Yesterday I made a delicious pot roast dinner. My family liked it a lot. Fall is almost here, but it's going to get hot for the first week of fall over here in Central California. Temperatures will near 100 but will drop in a week or so. Tonight my mom is making enchiladas for dinner.

Waiting for fall...

I just finished reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and it was really good. I finished last night actually. My sales rep had told me that I could borrow the second book from him so I called him and he was at the airport, but the book just happened to be in his car so he had his wife drop it off for me. Yay, now I don't have to wait to continue the story. He's reading the third one now and he'll loan it to me after. I just had tacos for lunch. They were okay, my taco place had no parking so I had to go elsewhere. I have no idea what we're doing for dinner. It'll be whatever Aros wants.

Enrique--both dinners sound delicious.
