Tre had an assignment in English class,, He has to turn this in tomorrow,, So No grade as yet,, We'll let you know what the teacher thinks of it, But Me?? I love it, Not bad for a 12 year old Written By Tre' Tyree,, age 12 Kennedy Middle school
This Print turned out very small on here, I wonder why>> Here is the poem in larger print for those like me that can't read it on the picture, The Phoenix I am the wrath of a fiery death the spark of flame, the wisp of smoke I am the signaler of all disasters and Trump the sun in heated Battle Tarnage and Death only I Am NOT But light and warmth are part of me as well In your homes I sit on flaky logs and warm your family At Night I am the one that illuminates the path you need to see that is covered with darkness I Am the Everlasting Bird The Ulimate Pyro I am the Phoenix

Diane, please tell Tre' that I am very proud of him. That's a wonderful poem!

Thanks Everyone,, He got an A He explained the poem had to be picked from either , earth, wind , air, or fire. And must show the Good and the Bad and associate it with an animal whether real or fantasy. Teacher said His poem exhibits all three points of interest< with suggested emotion>, which is a PLUS!

This is very well done indeed and I am sorry I didn't see it sooner! (sometimes I am in and out of the forum too quickly!!)
*I think there is a small typo in your typed version, though, Diane* I believe the line should read "Carnage and Death only". (I used my magnifier to look at the colorful print more closely.)
Anyway, in my opinion Tre did a fantastic job on this, even without me knowing the demanding parameters the teacher set for the assignment. And now that I know the guidelines, I am even more impressed. Way to go, Tre!!
It will be very interesting to watch his talent develop as the years go by....

Terrific poem!
My beautiful high school burned down the year before I started there, and our theme for our graduating class was "the Phoenix, Risen from the Ashes", so I've always had an interest in all things connected with the phoenix.

The Teacher didn't notice it as I didn't, well IF she did she didn't mark off for misspelling, maybe she was just looking for the content of the assignment to be executed correctly as opposed to spelling?? ( I copied it exactly as he had written it ) so his handwritten one and his typed one on the phoenix picture paper must have been different? Thanks for pointing that out,, and thanks for the compliments everyone,,, Tre' said he appreciates it
