Oh, so very pretty. I have dark purple black tulips like that(second pic), they are called Negrita.

I just love the frilled ones, must put that on my fall shopping list.

I've been looking for tulip bulbs all over this spring already and can't find any. I'm a bit puzzled, are tulips to be planted in fall or can you still plant them in spring?

It's been totally weird, every store has every other bulb but tulips.

Rosepetal, tulips are only planted in the fall. You can still plant them but they won't come up and bloom til they overwinter.

Thanks everyone, as most of you know this is my first outdoor garden and I'm very proud of how it's turning out. Even my b/f has admitted that he really likes it. I had an idea before any of my bulbs started blooming that I would take pics of them and then make a 2008 calender with my photos to give to my relatives for a christmas gift. There are more things that are starting to come up but I don't know what they are yet. My stargazer lily's are starting to come up, will be a while before those bloom but I'm really looking forward to them.
